Abstract
An shaving brush is provided having synthetic bristles arranged in a tuft, the bristles having the appearance, texture and feel of badger fur and antibacterial properties. The bristles may be attached at a first end to a ferrule. Advantageously, a shaving brush according to the present invention features improved durability and hygienics while maintaining the appearance of genuine badger fur.

exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A simulated badger fur shaving brush comprising:
synthetic bristles arranged in a tuft, wherein the bristles include (i) physical properties comprising the appearance, texture and feel of badger fur, in combination with (ii) antibacterial properties that resists environmental and organic degradation upon exposure to water, human skin and shaving soap or shaving cream.
2 . The brush of claim 1 , wherein the tuft comprises alternating light and dark colored areas along the tuft.
3 . The brush of claim 1 , further comprising a ferrule attached to the tuft at a first end.
4 . The brush of claim 1 , wherein the tuft and the ferrule share a common central axis.
5 . A method of preserving cleanliness in a simulated badger fur shaving brush, comprising the steps of:
providing a plurality of synthetic bristles having antimicrobial properties in combination with physical properties comprising the appearance, texture and feel of badger fur; forming the bristles into a tuft of a shaving brush; and transferring water and shaving cream or shaving soap via the tuft onto human skin; wherein the antimicrobial properties of the synthetic bristles of the tuft resist environmental and organic degradation thereby preserving cleanliness.
6 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the bristles have alternating light and dark colored areas along their length.
