Abstract
Methods and systems for controlling switching of multimedia content captured from a plurality of locations via one or more capturing devices include obtaining multimedia content that identify a type of content being captured and/or location of capture. The captured multimedia content is processed and the multimedia content conforming to search preference is presented to the receiving devices in substantial real-time. Feedback regarding the presented multimedia content is received from receiving devices. Switching of certain multimedia content presented at the receiving devices is enabled in substantial real-time based on the feedback, so that each of the receiving devices is presented with a dynamic subset of the multimedia content based on the changes in content obtained from capturing devices, the feedback obtained from the receiving devices and search preference.

exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method for controlling switching of interactive multimedia content, the method comprising:
obtaining multimedia content identifying a type of content being captured or location of capture; processing the multimedia content based on search preference; presenting the multimedia content conforming to the search preference at receiving devices in substantial real-time; receiving substantial real-time feedback from one or more of the receiving devices, the substantial real-time feedback defining actions performed at the receiving devices in relation to the presented multimedia content, the defined actions serving to influence modification of the multimedia content; enabling switching of certain multimedia content presented at the receiving devices in substantial real-time based on substantial real-time feedback and search preference, such that each of the receiving devices is presented with a dynamic subset of the multimedia content based on the modification of the multimedia content.

The method for controlling switching of interactive multimedia content of claim 1 , wherein the type of content includes content related to one of event, topic, people, activity, location, time, object, product, brand or service, the type of content identified through metadata provided by the capturing devices.
3 . The method for controlling switching of interactive multimedia content of claim 1 , wherein the obtained multimedia content is a dynamic ordered list of multimedia content, the ordered list being organized based on a ranking algorithm and search preference.
4 . The method for controlling switching of interactive multimedia content of claim 3 , wherein processing multimedia content further comprising:
identifying presentation criteria for a receiving device; and generating a composite multimedia stream based on the identified presentation criteria, the composite multimedia stream generated by integrating appropriate style model and ranking model with the multimedia stream based on the presentation criteria, ranking algorithm and the search preference.
5 . The method for controlling switching of interactive multimedia content of claim 3 , wherein receiving feedback further comprising:
receiving an ordered list of feedback, the feedback identifying actions, interactions and communication events performed at the receiving devices in response to the multimedia content, the feedback ordered by aggregating, filtering, summarizing, arbitrating and transcoding feedback received from receiving devices; generating dynamic network quality score (QS) value for each of the multimedia stream and associated users, the QS defining the relative ranking of each of the multimedia stream and users; and dynamically updating related indices associated with the multimedia stream and users with the generated QS, such that the updated indices are used by the ranking algorithm to effectuate switching of the multimedia content presented to the receiving devices.
6 . The method for controlling switching of interactive multimedia content of claim 5 , wherein enabling switching further comprising:
dynamically re-organizing the multimedia content based on the updated indices associated with the multimedia content; and presenting the dynamically re-organized multimedia content at the receiving devices, the re-organized multimedia content determining the current ranking of the multimedia content.
7 . The method for controlling switching of interactive multimedia content of claim 5 , wherein enabling switching further including:
receiving newly captured multimedia content from the capturing devices; assigning QS value for the newly captured multimedia content based on search preference, the type of content and status of users associated with the capturing devices; organizing the multimedia content into a plurality of related indices by indexing, ranking, and ordering the multimedia content into an ordered list based on the updated indices, ranking algorithm and search preference, such that each of the receiving devices is presented with updated subset of multimedia content based on the changes in content obtained from the capturing devices, the updated indices and search preference.
8 . The method for controlling switching of interactive multimedia content of claim 7 , wherein the newly captured multimedia content inheriting QS value assigned to one of users associated with the capturing devices or the multimedia content.
9 . The method for controlling switching of interactive multimedia content of claim 5 , wherein the feedback is one of a comment, text, audio, video, number, graphical, vibration or media related to the multimedia content.
10 . A method for controlling switching of live multimedia content captured from a plurality of locations via one or more capturing devices, comprising:
receiving multimedia content as multiple streams of content from capturing devices, the capturing devices identifying type of content being captured or location of capture; processing the multimedia content to generate an ordered listing of the multiple streams of content for each of a plurality of receiving devices, the ordered list initially defined based on a search preference associated with each receiving device; and switching a ranking of the multiple streams of content defined in the ordered listing based on changes in the multimedia content over time.
11 . The method for controlling switching of live multimedia content captured from a plurality of locations via one or more capturing devices of claim 10 , wherein processing multimedia content further comprising:
identifying the search preference for each of the receiving devices, the search preference defining the search criteria associated with the receiving devices; identifying multiple streams of content conforming to the search preference of the receiving devices; and generating an ordered list of multimedia content from the identified multiple streams of content, the ordered list generated by applying a ranking algorithm to the identified multiple streams.
12 . The method for controlling switching of live multimedia content captured from a plurality of locations via one or more capturing devices of claim 11 , further including:
identifying presentation criteria for the receiving devices, the presentation criteria identifying the style models associated with the receiving devices; and organizing the ordered list of multimedia content based on the presentation criteria, the ordered list organized by integrating appropriate style models associated with the receiving devices, the organized multimedia content presented at the receiving devices in response to request from one of the receiving devices or capturing devices.

The method for controlling switching of live multimedia content captured from a plurality of locations via one or more capturing devices of claim 12 , wherein ranking of the multimedia content is switched based on actions, interactions or communication events received from the receiving devices related to the presented multimedia content.
14 . The method for controlling switching of live multimedia content captured from a plurality of locations via one or more capturing devices of claim 13 , wherein switching the ranking further comprising:
receiving actions, interactions or communication events from the receiving devices in substantial real-time, the actions, interactions or communication events defining feedback from the receiving devices in response to the presented multimedia content, generating dynamic network quality score (QS) value for each of the multimedia content and associated generating users of capturing devices, the QS defining the relative ranking of each of the multimedia content and users; and dynamically re-organizing the multimedia content based on the relative ranking of the multimedia content and users.
15 . The method for controlling switching of live multimedia content captured from a plurality of locations via one or more capturing devices of claim 14 , wherein dynamically re-organizing further including:
identifying related indices of a ranking algorithm associated with the multimedia stream and generating users; updating the identified related indices with the generated QS in substantial real-time, such that the updated indices are used by the ranking algorithm to effectuate switching of the multimedia content presented to the receiving devices.

The method for controlling switching of live multimedia content captured from a plurality of locations via one or more capturing devices of claim 14 , wherein communication event for switching a ranking is a request for including a sponsored media, the request originating from one of the receiving devices based on the presented multimedia content.

The method for controlling switching of live multimedia content captured from a plurality of locations via one or more capturing devices of claim 14 , wherein communication event for switching a ranking is a request for including a newly captured multimedia content, the request originating from one of the capturing devices.

The method for controlling switching of live multimedia content captured from a plurality of locations via one or more capturing devices of claim 17 , wherein the newly captured multimedia content inheriting relative ranking assigned to users associated with the capturing devices or the multimedia content.
19 . A system for controlling switching of live multimedia content, comprising:
a plurality of capturing devices configured to capture and transmit multimedia content in substantial real-time over a communication network, the capturing devices identifying a type of content being captured or location of capture; a plurality of receiving devices configured to receive the multimedia content and to provide feedback in substantial real-time; a feedback engine communicatively connected to the plurality of capturing devices and receiving devices, the feedback engine configured to process requests for multimedia content by at least one of validating, retrieving, indexing, or prioritizing multimedia content based on search preference and to process feedback by at least one of gathering, reviewing, indexing, prioritizing feedback; and a switching engine communicatively connected to the feedback engine, the switching engine configured to generate, manage, archive composite streams based on ranking algorithm and present the composite stream to the receiving devices based on presentation criteria defined at the receiving devices, such that each of the receiving devices is presented with a subset of the multimedia content based on changes in content obtained over time from the plurality of capturing devices.
20 . The system for controlling switching of live multimedia content of claim 19 , wherein the switching engine is integrated with the feedback engine.

The system for controlling switching of live multimedia content of claim 19 , further including remote storage device to store multimedia content, metadata associated with multimedia content and users, and sponsored media for mixing with the multimedia content, the remote storage device communicatively connected to the switching engine.
22 . The system for controlling switching of live multimedia content of claim 19 , wherein the switching engine includes a composite creator for creating composite multimedia content and a re-mixer interface to enable receiving devices to create composite multimedia content.

The system for controlling switching of live multimedia content of claim 19 , wherein the capturing devices include controls for capturing and transmitting multimedia content, the capturing devices controls defined through one of software or hardware and the receiving devices include controls for receiving and providing feedback to multimedia content in substantial real-time, the receiving devices controls defined through one of software or hardware.
24 . The system for controlling switching of live multimedia content of claim 19 , wherein the capturing devices include storage to store the captured multimedia content locally and receiving devices include storage to store the multimedia content and feedback locally for subsequent retrieval.
25 . A computer readable medium including program instructions for controlling switching of live multimedia content captured from a plurality of locations via one or more capturing devices, comprising:
program instructions for receiving multimedia content as multiple streams of content from capturing devices, the capturing devices identifying type of content being captured or location of capture; program instructions for processing the multimedia content to generate an ordered listing of the multiple streams of content for each of a plurality of receiving devices, the ordered list initially defined based on a search preference associated with each receiving device; and program instructions for switching a ranking of the multiple streams of content defined in the ordered listing based on changes in the multimedia content over time.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
