Abstract

A poker game utilizes an 80 card deck, in which the deck consists solely of 10 sets of eight cards each. Each set of eight cards consists of a first value card in the suit of spades, a second value card in the suit of hearts, a first value card in the suit of diamonds, a first value card in the suit of clubs, a second value card in the suit of spades, a second value card in the suit of hearts, a second value card in the suit of diamonds, and a second value card in the suit of clubs. In one embodiment, the first value card is a six and the second value card is a nine. A table of hand values ranks hands for purposes of determining a winning hand in a live or electronic version of a poker game utilizing the 80 card deck. In one embodiment, the highest ranked hand consists of three sixes of hearts and two nines of hearts.

1 . An 80 playing card deck consisting solely of;
 ten identical sets of eight cards each;   wherein each set consists solely of a first value card in the suit of spades, a second value card in the suit of hearts, a first value card in the suit of diamonds, a first value card in the suit of clubs, a second value card in the suit of spades, a second value card in the suit of hearts, a second value card in the suit of diamonds, and a second value card in the suit of clubs.   
   
   
       2 . The 80 playing card deck of  claim 1  wherein said first value card is a six and wherein said second value card is a nine. 
   
   
       3 . A method for playing a card game of poker comprising, in combination, the steps of:
 providing an 80 card deck of playing cards having:
 ten identical sets of eight cards each; 
 wherein each set consists solely of a first value card in the suit of spades, a second value card in the suit of hearts, a first value card in the suit of diamonds, a first value card in the suit of clubs, a second value card in the suit of spades, a second value card in the suit of hearts, a second value card in the suit of diamonds, and a second value card in the suit of clubs; 
   dealing five cards to each of a plurality of players;   comparing each of a value of a five card hand of first player and a five card hand of a second player to a ranking of hand values; and   awarding a jackpot to one of the first player and the second player having a higher hand value according to the ranking of hand values.   
   
   
       4 . The method of  claim 3  wherein said first value card is a six and wherein said second value card is a nine. 
   
   
       5 . The method of  claim 4  wherein said ranking of hand values ranks as a highest value hand a hand comprising three sixes of hearts and two nines of hearts. 
   
   
       6 . The method of  claim 5  wherein said ranking of hand values ranks as a second highest value hand a hand comprising three sixes of heats and two nines of spades. 
   
   
       7 . The method of  claim 6  wherein said ranking of hand values ranks as a third highest value hand a hand comprising three sixes of heats and two nines of diamonds. 
   
   
       8 . The method of  claim 7  wherein said ranking of hand values ranks as a fourth highest value hand a hand comprising three sixes of heats and two nines of clubs. 
   
   
       9 . The method of  claim 3  further comprising the steps of;
 dealing three cards down to each of at least two platters;   permitting each player to wake at least one wager;   dealing a fourth card down to all remaining players;   permitting each of the remaining players to make at least one wager;   dealing a fifth card down to each of the remaining players; and   permitting each of the remaining players to make at least one wager.   
   
   
       10 . A method for playing a card game of poker comprising, in combination, the steps of:
 providing an 80 card deck of playing cards having:
 ten identical sets of eight cards each: 
 wherein each set consists solely of a first value card in the suit of spades, a second value card in the suit of hearts, a first value card in the suit of diamonds, a first value card in the suit of clubs, a second value card in the suit of spades, a second value card in the suit of hearts, a second value card in the suit of diamonds, and a second value card in the suit of clubs; 
   dealing a five card hand to a player;   comparing a value of the five card hand to a ranking of hand values; and   awarding a payout to the player if the value of the five card hand qualifies for a payout according to a payout table associated with the ranking of hand values.   
   
   
       11 . The method of  claim 10  wherein said first value card is a six and wherein said second value card is a nine. 
   
   
       12 . The method of  claim 11  wherein said ranking of hand values ranks as a highest value hand a hand comprising three sixes of hearts and two nines of hearts. 
   
   
       13 . The method of  claim 12  wherein said ranking of hand values ranks as a second highest value hand a hand comprising three sixes of heats and two nines of spades. 
   
   
       14 . The method of  claim 13  wherein said ranking of hand values ranks as a third highest value hand a hand comprising three sixes of heats and two nines of diamonds. 
   
   
       15 . The method of  claim 14  wherein said ranking of hand values ranks as a fourth highest value hand a hand comprising three sixes of heats and two nines of clubs.
