Abstract
In a metal/glass base or feedthrough of an ignition device for personal safety systems in motor vehicles, including a ring manufactured from a metal material, having at least one insulating body provided in a ring opening of the ring and tightly sealing said opening, and including at least one pin forming an electrical conductor and leading tightly sealed through the insulating body and electrically insulated from the ring, the ring is manufactured from a metal material by means of cold forming.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A metal/fixing-means base for ignition devices in personal safety systems comprising a ring manufactured from a metal material, comprising at least one ring opening and an insulating body tightly sealing said at least one ring opening, and comprising at least one pin forming an electrical conductor and leading tightly sealed through the insulating body and electrically insulated from the ring, wherein the ring is manufactured from the metal material by means of cold forming.
2 . The base according to claim 1 , wherein the ring is made as one piece with at least one projection protruding into the at least one ring opening.
3 . The base according to claim 2 , wherein at least one further pin designed as an electrical conductor leads tightly sealed through the insulating body, and that the at least one further pin is connected with at least one projection, preferably with a free end of the projection.
4 . A metal/fixing-means base for ignition devices in personal safety systems comprising a ring manufactured from a metal material, comprising at least one ring opening and an insulating body tightly sealing said at least one ring opening, and comprising at least one pin forming an electrical conductor and leading tightly sealed through the insulating body and electrically insulated from the ring, wherein the ring is made as one piece with at least one projection protruding into the at least one ring opening, that at least one further pin designed as an electrical conductor leads tightly sealed through the insulating body, and that the further pin is connected with the at least one projection, with a free end of the projection.
5 . The base according to claim 4 , wherein the ring is manufactured from the metal material by means of cold forming.
6 . The base according to claim 4 , wherein the ring is made of steel.
7 . The base according to claim 4 , wherein the ring is structured in the area of the ring opening.
8 . The base according to claim 4 , wherein the at least one further pin is connected with the projection by soldering, or by welding.
9 . The base according to claim 4 , wherein the at least one projection is provided on a front side of the ring forming an outer side of the ignition device in the case of the base being assembled.
10 . The base according to claim 4 , wherein the ring comprises a single ring opening with an insulating body, through which the at least two pins lead through tightly sealed.
11 . The base according to claim 1 , wherein the ring is made of steel.
12 . The base according to claim 4 , wherein the at least one pin is made of a metal material, an iron alloy, or an iron alloy containing nickel.
13 . The base according to claim 4 , wherein the insulating body is held in the ring by the at least one projection.
14 . The base according to claim 4 , wherein the insulating body is made of glass, ceramic, glass-ceramic composite or plastic.
15 . The base according to claim 4 , wherein the ring comprises a single ring opening with the insulating body, through which the at least two pins lead through tightly sealed.
16 . An ignition device for personal safety systems comprising a housing containing an ignition fuse, the housing is tightly sealed on at least one side by at least one base, which comprises of at least one ring, of at least one insulating body provided in an opening of the ring and of at least one pin forming an electrical conductor and leading tightly sealed through the insulating body, for controlling at least one ignition element provided in the housing, wherein the base is embodied according to claim 4 .Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
