Abstract

The disclosure refers to a server client system. In one example, a server client system includes at least one server and plural terminals connected to a network. A profile associating a temporal condition with at least each of the terminals or the server is stored with the terminals or the server. A connection between each of the terminals and the server is established in accordance with the profile.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A server client system comprising:
at least one server and plural terminals connected to a network, a profile associating a temporal condition with at least each of the terminals or the server, the profile being stored with at least the terminals or the server; and wherein each of the terminals establish a connection with the server in accordance with the profile.

2 . The server client system according to claim 1 , further comprising:
a plural number of servers; wherein the profile associates the temporal condition with the plural servers; and wherein each of the terminals further comprise
a first storage unit for storing the profile, and
a first communication unit configured to select, in accordance with the profile, a server from the plural servers and automatically send a connection request to the selected server.

3 . The server client system according to claim 1 , wherein the server further comprises:
a second storage unit for storing the profile associating the temporal condition with each of the plural terminals; and a second communication unit configured to establish the connection with at least one of the plural terminals only when a connection request is received from the one of the plural terminals and a determination is made by the server that the one of the plural terminals matches the profile.

4 . The server client system according to claim 3 , wherein the second communication unit is further configured to send a notification to reject connection to the one of the plural terminals when a determination is made by the server that the one of the plural terminals does not match the profile.

5 . The server client system according to claim 1 , wherein the server client system is a conference system and the server is configured to:
receive predetermined image data from the terminals; and provide predetermined images based on the image data to display with an image display device connected to the server.

6 . The server client system according to claim 5 , wherein the predetermined images are displayed on a plurality of split screen forming areas of a split screen display.

7 . The server client system according to claim 5 , wherein the server is further configured to display to a user a list of the terminals that are connected to the server and a status of whether image data from each of the terminals is being provided to the image display device.

8 . The server client system according to claim 1 , wherein the profile comprises at least one of an hourly profile and a class makeup profile.

9 . The server client system according to claim 1 , wherein the temporal condition comprises at least one of a time period and a day of the week.

10 . The server client system according to claim 1 , wherein each of the terminals and the server are implemented using personal computers.

11 . A method for establishing connection between at least one server and plural terminals on a network, comprising:
providing a profile for associating a temporal condition with at least each of the terminals or the server; storing the profile with at least either the terminals or the server; and establishing a connection between the terminals and the at least one server in accordance with the profile.

12 . The method according to claim 11 , wherein the connection between the terminals and the at least one server is made automatically without requiring a user to select the at least one server.

13 . The method according to claim 11 , wherein the profile comprises a first profile and a second profile, the method further comprising:
providing the first profile for associating a first temporal condition with the server and storing the first profile with each of the terminals; providing the second profile for associating a second temporal condition with the terminals and storing the second profile with the server; automatically sending a connection request from each of the terminals to the server if the first temporal condition is met; and upon receipt of the connection request, automatically establishing a connection between the server and each of the terminals if the second temporal condition is met.

14 . A computer program product embodied in a computer readable medium and comprising computer instructions executable by a computing device on a network to perform the functions of:
storing a profile that associates a temporal condition with each of a plurality of servers connected to the network; and selecting, in accordance with the profile, a server from the plurality of servers and automatically sending a connection request to the selected server.
