Abstract

A hair bow system and a method for creating a decorative hair bow. The hair bow system includes an attachment device that include a fastener element disposed on the attachment device. A first hair bow also including a fastener element can be removably fastened to the attachment device. A second hair bow can then be removably fastened to the first hair bow by attaching the second hair bow to the first hair bow. Additional hair bows can be attached, such as by being disposed between the first hair bow and the second hair bow. In this manner, a variety of appearances can be achieved by mixing and matching hair bows of different shapes, sizes, colors or decorative patterns.

2 . A hair bow system as recited in claim 1 , wherein each of said first, second, third and fourth fastener elements comprises a snap fastener element.

3 . A hair bow system as recited in claim 1 , wherein each of said first, second, third and fourth fastener elements comprises a magnetic material.

4 . A hair bow system as recited in claim 1 , wherein each of said third and fourth fastener elements is adapted to enable rotation of said second hair bow relative to said first hair bow without removing said second hair bow from said first hair bow.

5 . A hair bow system as recited in claim 1 , wherein said second and third fastener elements are disposed proximal to a center of said first hair bow.

6 . A hair bow system as recited in claim 1 , wherein the second hair bow does not comprise an additional fastener element.

7 . A hair bow system as recited in claim 1 , wherein said hair bow system further comprises a third hair bow, said third hair bow comprising a fifth fastener element that is adapted to removably fasten to said third fastener element and a sixth fastener element that is adapted to removably fasten to said fourth fastener element such that said third hair bow can be fastened to and disposed between said first and second hair bows.

8 . A hair bow system as recited in claim 1 , wherein said attachment device comprises a hair clip.

9 . A hair bow system as recited in claim 8 , wherein said attachment device further comprises an elastic headband adapted to fit around the head of a user and being adapted to receive said hair clip so that said hair clip is securely attached to said headband.

10 . A hair bow system as recited in claim 1 , wherein said attachment device comprises a hair comb.

11 . A hair bow system as recited in claim 1 , wherein said first hair bow has a major axis that is longer than the major axis of said second hair bow.

12 . A hair bow system as recited in claim 7 , wherein said first hair bow has a major axis that is longer than a major axis of said third hair bow and said third hair bow has a major axis that is longer than the major axis of said second hair bow.

       13 . A hair bow system, comprising:
 a) an attachment device that is adapted to attach to the head of a user, said attachment device comprising a first fastener element disposed on said attachment device; b) a first hair bow, said first hair bow including a second fastener element that is adapted to removably fasten to said first fastener element on said attachment device, and further comprising a third fastener element; c) a second hair bow, said second hair bow including fourth fastener element; and d) a third hair bow, said third hair bow comprising a fifth fastener element that is adapted to removably fasten to said third fastener element and a sixth fastener element that is adapted to removably fasten to said fourth fastener element such that said third hair bow can be disposed between said first and second hair bows.

14 . A kit for assembling hair bows having a variety of appearances, comprising:
 a) at least a first attachment device adapted to attach to the head of a user and comprising a first fastener element; b) at least two decorative lower bows, each of said at least two lower bows comprising a second fastener element adapted to removably attach to said first fastener element and further comprising a third fastener element; and c) at least two decorative upper bows, each of said at least two upper bows comprising a fourth fastener element adapted to removably fasten to said third fastener elements.

15 . A kit for assembling hair bows as recited in claim 14 , wherein said kit further comprises at least a third decorative lower bow, wherein said at least a third decorative lower bow has a major axis having a length that is greater than the length of a major axis of said at least two decorative lower bows.
