Abstract

There are provided hyperthermostable proteases having an amino acid sequences represented by SEQ ID Nos. 1, 3 and 5 of the Sequence Listing or functional equivalents thereof and hyperthermostable protease genes encoding those hyperthermostable protease. There is also disclosed a process for preparation of a hyperthermostable protease by culturing a transformant containing the gene.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An isolated polynucleotide encoding a hyperthermostable protease, which polynucleotide hybridizes to the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:2, wherein hybridization is carried out by incubating in 6×SSC at 50° C. and washing with 2×SSC at 37° C.

2 . A method for preparing a hyperthermostable protease, comprising culturing a transformant containing the polynucleotide of claim 1 , and harvesting a hyperthermostable protease from the culture.

3 . An isolated polynucleotide encoding a hyperthermostable protease, which polynucleotide hybridizes to the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:6, wherein hybridization is carried out by incubating in 6×SSC at 50° C. and washing with 2×SSC at 37° C.

4 . A method for preparing a hyperthermostable protease, comprising culturing a transformant containing the polynucleotide of claim 3 , and harvesting a hyperthermostable protease from the culture.
