Abstract
A method of treatment for skin, dermal or epidermal tissue utilizes a composition including an actin-binding polypeptide which may include amino acid sequence LKKTET [SEQ ID NO: 1] or a conservative variant thereof.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 12 . (canceled)
. A composition comprising a polypeptide agent comprising at least one of amino acid sequence LKKTET [SEQ ID NO:1] or a conservative variant thereof, gelsolin, vitamin D binding protein (DBP), profilin, cofilin, depactin, Dnasel, villin, fragmin, severin, capping protein, beta-actinin, acumentin, TB4, a TB4 isoform, a functional fragment of TB4 or a TB4 isoform having biological activity of TB4 or a TB4 isoform, TB4ala, TB9, TB10, TB11, TB12, TB13, TB14, or TB15, the composition further comprising a carrier for application to a surface of human body, wherein said carrier is for application to an external surface of said body or to an internal surface of said body, the composition comprising a gel, cream, paste, lotion, spray, suspension, dispersion, salve, hydrogel, tablet, or capsule, ointment, wherein said polypeptide is at a concentration in said carrier equivalent to at least about 0.01 ng/ml, and up to about 60 micrograms per 300 microliter.
. The composition of claim 13 wherein said carrier is for administration to an external surface of said body.
. The composition of claim 14 wherein said carrier is a topical carrier.
. The composition of claim 13 wherein said carrier is a matrix.
. The composition of claim 13 wherein said carrier is for application to an internal surface of said body.
. The composition of claim 17 wherein said carrier is for oral or nasal administration.
. The composition of claim 13 wherein said polypeptide agent comprises at least one of TB4, a TB4 isoform, a functional fragment of TB4 or a TB4 isoform having biological activity of TB4 or a TB4 isoform, TB4ala, TB9, TB10, TB11, TB12, TB13, TB14, or TB15.
. The composition of claim 13 wherein said polypeptide agent comprises at least one of TB4, a TB4 isoform, a functional fragment of TB4 or a TB4 isoform having biological activity of TB4 or a TB4 isoform, TB4ala, TB9, TB10, TB11, TB12, TB13, TB14 or TB15, wherein the carrier is for application to an internal surface of a human body, wherein said carrier is for oral administration, and wherein said composition is in tablet or capsule form.
. A method of treatment for treating or preventing damage or injury to skin, dermal or epidermal tissue or portion of said tissue, for promoting regeneration of skin, or for inducing an epidermal cellular mechanism or process for formation or maintenance of an epidermal tissue or portion thereof, the method comprising contacting said skin, tissue or portion of said tissue with a composition comprising an agent comprising at least one of a polypeptide comprising amino acid sequence LKKTET [SEQ ID NO:1] or a conservative variant thereof, gelsolin, vitamin D binding protein (DBP), profilin, cofilin, depactin, Dnasel, villin, fragmin, severin, capping protein, beta-actinin, acumentin, TB4, a TB4 isoform, a functional fragment of TB4 or a TB4 isoform having biological activity of TB4 or a TB4 isoform, TB4ala, TB9, TB10, TB11, TB12, TB13, TB14, or TB15.
. The method of claim 21 , wherein the composition further comprises a carrier for application to a surface of human body, the composition comprising a solution, gel, cream, paste, lotion, spray, suspension, dispersion, salve, hydrogel or ointment.
. The method of claim 22 wherein said carrier is for administration to an external surface of said body.
. The method of claim 23 wherein said carrier is a topical carrier.
. The method of claim 22 wherein said carrier is a matrix.
. The method of claim 21 wherein said polypeptide comprises TB4.
. The method of claim 21 wherein said agent is at a concentration in said composition of at least about 0.01 ng/ml, and up to about 60 micrograms per 300 microliter.
. The method of claim 26 wherein said agent is at a concentration in said composition of at least about 0.01 ng/ml, and up to about 60 micrograms per 300 microliter.
. The method of claim 21 wherein said agent comprises at least one of TB4, a TB4 isoform, a functional fragment of TB4 or a TB4 isoform having biological activity of TB4 or a TB4 isoform, TB4ala, TB9, TB10, TB11, TB12, TB13, TB14, or TB15.
. The method of claim 29 wherein said agent is at a concentration in said composition of at least about 0.01 ng/ml and up to about 60 micrograms per 300 microliter.
. The method of claim 21 wherein said tissue is skin.
. The method of claim 21 wherein said tissue is epidermal tissue or a portion thereof.
. The composition of claim 13 wherein said polypeptide comprises TB4.
. The method of claim 22 wherein said polypeptide comprises TB4.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
