Remote Witnessing of Game Play

Abstract

Methods are provided whereby gambling games may be purchased and played, then displayed or re-played at a remote location and time relative to when the initial or actual game was played.

1 . A method for an operator of a gambling game to administer it, comprising the steps of:
 (a) admitting a player into premises that offers the player a participation in a lawful gambling game;   (b) enabling a player to participate in one of said games where there is an outcome and the result is determined and stored and any winnings determined, but where the player does not witness or observe the outcome of the game;   (c) storing a result of the game onto a storage device;   (d) enabling the player to witness the game play for the first or subsequent time by permitting the player to access the data storage device later in time.   
   
   
       2 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein:
 the operator allows the player to redeem any winnings in the licensed area after the player witnesses the game play.   
   
   
       3 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising the step of:
 the operator enabling the download of results of participation to a mobile device so as to display the results remotely.   
   
   
       4 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein:
 the operator allows the player to redeem any winnings at a licensed area following the outcome, but before the remote witness of the play.   
   
   
       5 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein:
 the results are determined at the time of purchase.   
   
   
       6 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein:
 the operator enables the player to view the result using any one of a number of different graphical or sensory representations of the result.   
   
   
       7 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the operator enables a player to replay a game they may have witnessed. 
   
   
       8 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein:
 the game is a multi-state game and a reward for a win is independent of a choice made by a player during an instance of play, a bonus being used to compensate for a displayed result that is inferior with respect to a potentially superior result that the player could have obtained within the same instance of play.   
   
   
       9 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein:
 the game is a multi-state game and a reward for a win is independent of a choice made by a player during an instance of play, the player being enabled to replay the game until such time as a later result is equal to the superior result.   
   
   
       10 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein,
 the data storage device is a mobile device.
