Claims

Abstract

A motion toy includes a first drive system, a second drive system, a plurality of pivoted portions, a body assembly, a head portion, a base, a hand portion, and a foot portion. The first drive system and the second drive system are constituted by a set of gears and a set of motors. The first drive systems are respectively configured in the head portion, the body assembly, and the base. The second systems are configured in the hand portion. The first drive systems configured in the head portion, the body assembly and the base are associated to the second drive systems configured in the hand portion via the pivoted portions. The pivoted portions cooperate with the first drive system and the second drive system respectively to perform various movements.

1 . A motion toy comprising:
 a body assembly having at least four first drive systems with one of the first drive systems configured at the upside thereof, with another first drive system configured at the downside thereof and with the rest of the first drive systems mounted in the body assembly being configured at opposite sides thereof;   a head portion having at least one first drive system, said first drive system mounted in the head portion being connected to the first drive system configured at the upside of the body assembly via a first pivoted portion;   a base having at least one first drive system, the first drive system mounted in the base being connected to the first drive system configured at the downside of the body assembly via a fourth pivoted portion; and   a hand portion having at least two second drive systems, said second drive systems being connected to the first drive systems configured at the opposite sides of the body assembly respectively via a second pivoted portion and a third pivoted portion.   
   
   
       2 . The motion toy as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the first drive system comprises:
 a first motor with a transmission shaft extending outward therefrom;   a first gear fitted around the transmission shaft;   a fourth gear having a fourth through hole, a sixth outer tooth engaging with the first gear and a seventh outer tooth;   a third gear having a third through hole, a fourth outer tooth engaging with the seventh outer tooth and a fifth outer tooth;   a second gear having a second through hole, a second outer tooth engaging with the fifth outer tooth and a third outer tooth;   a first pivot;   a second pivot; and   a first housing receiving the first motor, the first gear, the fourth gear, the third gear, the second gear, the first pivot and the second pivot.   
   
   
       3 . The motion toy as claimed in  claim 2 , wherein the first housing comprises:
 a first sidewall;   a second sidewall laterally spaced from the first sidewall;   a third sidewall linking the first sidewall and the second sidewall;   a first receiving slot projecting outward from the outside of the first sidewall;   a first fixed arm projecting outward from the outside of the first sidewall;   a first pivoted hole defined on the first fixed arm;   a second pivoted hole defined on the first sidewall;   a third pivoted hole defined on the second sidewall in accordance with the first pivoted hole; and   a fourth pivoted hole defined on the second sidewall in accordance with the second pivoted hole;   said first pivot passing through the third through hole and the fourth through hole with one end thereof which is near to the second gear inserted into the first pivoted hole and with the other end thereof which is near to the fourth gear inserted into the fourth pivoted hole;   said second pivot passing through the second through hole with one end thereof inserted into the second pivoted hole and with the other end thereof inserted into the fourth pivoted hole.   
   
   
       4 . The motion toy connector as claimed in  claim 3 , wherein the first housing is formed by two covers, a plurality of first mounting holes formed on the first sidewall are respectively fastened to the equal first mounting holes formed on the third sidewall with a plurality of first screws to join two covers of the first housing together.

The motion toy as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the first drive systems configured in the head housing have gears placed in the head portion horizontally and vertically respectively, said head portion has a head housing, a head gear engaging with the gears of one of the first drive systems placed in the head portion horizontally, an acceptable body connecting with the head gear. 
   
   
       6 . The motion toy as claimed in  claim 5 , wherein the head housing has a ninth sidewall, a fourth sidewall, a fourth sidewall laterally spaced from the ninth sidewall, a first top wall linking the ninth sidewall and the fourth sidewall, a second top wall which links the ninth sidewall and the fourth sidewall and is spaced from the first top wall, two fifth pivoted holes defined on the first top wall and the second top wall respectively, a retaining wall defined on the second top wall, and a second fixed arm extending outward from the outside of the fourth sidewall to fix the first drive system which has gears placed in the head portion horizontally.

The motion toy as claimed in  claim 6 , wherein the head housing is formed by two covers, a plurality of second mounting holes formed on the third sidewall are respectively fastened to the equal second mounting holes formed on the fourth sidewall with a plurality of second screws to join two covers of the head housing together.

The motion toy as claimed in  claim 5 , wherein said head gear has an eighth outer tooth and a first rotating shaft sharing a same axis with the eighth outer tooth, said head gear is received between the first top wall and the second top wall, said first rotating shaft is fitted into the fifth pivoted holes.

The motion toy as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the body assembly includes a body housing with a front wall and a back wall laterally spaced from the front wall, two first drive systems with gears thereof parallel to the front wall and two first drive systems with gears thereof perpendicular to the front wall.

The motion toy as claimed in  claim 9 , wherein the body housing further comprises a fifth sidewall linking the front wall and back wall, and a sixth sidewall laterally spaced from the fifth sidewall, a first inner wall defined in the inner side of the fifth sidewall with a certain distance from the fifth sidewall, a second inner wall defined in the inner side of the sixth sidewall with a certain distance from the sixth sidewall, a third inner wall which links the fifth sidewall and the sixth sidewall and is defined at the middle of the body assembly, said fifth sidewall, said sixth sidewall, said first inner wall and said second inner wall, each has a sixth pivoted hole thereof.

The motion toy as claimed in  claim 10 , wherein the body housing is formed by two covers, a plurality of third mounting holes formed on the front sidewall are respectively fastened to the equal third mounting holes formed on the back sidewall with a plurality of third screws to join two covers of the body housing together.

The motion toy as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the base includes a base housing with a seventh sidewall, an eighth sidewall and a bottom wall linking the seventh sidewall and the eighth sidewall, a first bulge projecting outward from the outer side of the seventh sidewall and a second bulge projecting outward from the eighth sidewall. 
   
   
       13 . The motion toy as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the base housing is formed by two covers, a plurality of fourth mounting holes formed on one cover of the base housing are respectively fastened to the equal third mounting holes formed on the other cover of the base housing with a plurality of third screws to join two covers of the base housing together. 
   
   
       14 . The motion toy as claimed in  claim 12 , wherein said first bulge and said second bulge are respectively connected to the foot portion. 
   
   
       15 . The motion toy as claimed in  claim 14 , wherein the foot portion has two parts, each of the parts includes a housing, a fixed hole and a battery-receiving slot. 
   
   
       16 . The motion toy as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the first pivoted portion includes a first longitudinal plate, a first transverse plate perpendicular to the first longitudinal plate and a first connecting portion linking the body assembly and the head portion together, the first longitudinal plate defines a first longitudinal outer tooth at one outer edge thereof for engaging with the third outer tooth of the first drive system which has gears placed in the head portion vertically, the first transverse plate defines a first transverse outer tooth for engaging with the second outer tooth of the first drive system configured at the upside of the body assembly. 
   
   
       17 . The motion toy as claimed in  claim 16 , wherein the first pivoted portion further comprises a gap formed at one corner of the first longitudinal plate that is far from the first longitudinal outer tooth.

The motion toy as claimed in  claim 16 , wherein the first connecting portion includes a first convex pillar, a second convex pillar, a third convex pillar, a fourth convex pillar, which are protruded outward from the first pivoted portion, and a first plow groove, a second plow groove, a third plow groove, a fourth plow groove, which cooperate with the first convex pillar, the second convex pillar, the third convex pillar, the fourth convex pillar respectively. 
   
   
       19 . The motion toy as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the third pivoted portion which is similar to the second pivoted portion includes a hand gear with a ninth outer tooth formed around thereof to be fitted to the first drive system placed at a position which is near to the fifth sidewall, a second rotating shaft projecting outward from the hand gear and sharing a same axis therewith and an U-shaped fixed portion defined at the outer end of the second rotating shaft.

The motion toy as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the fourth pivoted portion includes a second transverse plate, a second longitudinal plate perpendicular to the transverse plate and a second connecting portion linking the body assembly and the base together, the second transverse plate defines a second transverse outer tooth at one edge of the second transverse plate that is far from the second longitudinal plate for engaging with the third outer tooth of the first drive system placed at the downside of the body housing, the second longitudinal plate defines a second longitudinal outer tooth at one edge of the second longitudinal plate that is far from the second transverse plate for engaging with third outer tooth of the first drive system placed at the downside of the body housing. 
   
   
       21 . The motion toy as claimed in  claim 20 , wherein the second connecting portion includes a fifth convex pillar, a sixth convex pillar which respectively protrude outward from the opposite sides of the second transverse plate and are adjacent to the second longitudinal plate, a seventh convex pillar, an eighty convex pillar which respectively protrude outward from the opposite sides of the second longitudinal plate and are adjacent to the second transverse plate, and a fifth plow groove, a sixth plow groove, a seventh plow groove, a eighth plow groove which are cooperating with the fifth convex pillars, sixth convex pillar, the seventh convex pillar, the eighty convex pillar respectively.
