System for Hands-Free Viewing of Portable Video Players

Abstract

A device for mounting or attaching a portable media device capable of video playback (Video Player) to a surface or an object which is not specifically made or designed for mounting or attaching such Video Player, comprising of a mechanism wherein the device can be attached to and detached from such surface or object by hand.

A device for mounting or attaching a portable media device capable of video playback (Video Player) to a surface or an object which is not specifically made or designed for mounting or attaching such Video Player (which surface or object can be of any composition, including, without limitation, fabric, plastic, metal, rubber, leather, concrete, drywall, wood or glass), comprising of a mechanism wherein the device can be attached to and detached from such surface or object by hand. 
   
   
       2 . A device in  claim 1 , wherein the mechanism for attachment uses suction. 
   
   
       3 . A device in  claim 1 , wherein the mechanism for attachment uses adhesion. 
   
   
       4 . A device in  claim 1 , wherein the mechanism for attachment uses a “velcro” mechanism. 
   
   
       5 . A device in  claim 1 , wherein the mechanism for attachment uses one or more magnets. 
   
   
       6 . A device in  claim 1 , wherein the mechanism for attachment is a hook. 
   
   
       7 . A device in  claim 1 , additionally comprising of a protective covering for the Video Player. 
   
   
       8 . A device in  claim 1 , which is a part of the Video Player itself. 
   
   
       9 . A device in  claim 1 , wherein the Video Player is an iPod (device made by Apple, Inc.). 
   
   
       10 . A device in  claim 1 , wherein the Video Player is an iPhone (device made by Apple, Inc.). 
   
   
       11 . A device in  claim 1 , wherein the Video Player is PlayStation Portable (or PSP, device made by Sony Corporation). 
   
   
       12 . A device in  claim 1 , wherein the Video Player is a cellular telephone. 
   
   
       13 . A device in  claim 7 , wherein the protective covering has an opening or a transparent surface allowing viewing of the video playback on the Video Player.
