Tarpaulin mounting frame

Abstract

A tarpaulin mounting frame for tightening a tarpaulin includes a frame profile having at least one groove. A anchor profile having a rounded-off foot on its edge facing the tarpaulin, wherein the rounded-off foot is insertable into the groove of the frame profile and is pivotable therein. The anchor profile has at least one receptacle for a weatherstrip, wherein the anchor profile reaches a position substantially parallel to the plane of the tarpaulin by pivoting around the foot and thereby tightens the tarpaulin, wherein the anchor profile between the foot and the receptacle for the weatherstrip is in contact with the frame profile.

1 . A tarpaulin mounting frame for tightening a tarpaulin, said tarpaulin mounting frame comprising:
 a frame profile having at least one groove; and   an anchor profile having a rounded-off foot on its edge facing the tarpaulin, said rounded-off foot being insertable into said groove of said frame profile and pivotable therein;   wherein said anchor profile having at least one receptacle for a weatherstrip, said anchor profile reaching a position substantially parallel to the plane of the tarpaulin by pivoting around said foot thereby tightening the tarpaulin, wherein said anchor profile between said foot and said receptacle for the weatherstrip is in contact with said frame profile.   
   
   
       2 . The tarpaulin mounting frame as set forth in  claim 1 , wherein said anchor profile further comprising a stub adjacent said bent arm for aiding in the movement of said anchor. 
   
   
       3 . The tarpaulin mounting frame as set forth in  claim 1 , wherein said frame profile being corrugated. 
   
   
       4 . The tarpaulin mounting frame as set forth in  claim 1  further comprises a bent arm on said anchor profile, wherein said anchor profile pivots around said foot until said bent arm snaps into said frame profile and reaches a position substantially parallel to the plane of the tarpaulin thereby tightening the tarpaulin. 
   
   
       5 . The tarpaulin mounting frame as set forth in  claim 4 , wherein said receptacle of said anchor profile being located between said bent arm and said rounded-off foot. 
   
   
       6 . The tarpaulin mounting frame as set forth in  claim 1  further comprising an intermediate profile in contact with said anchor profile and said frame profile. 
   
   
       7 . The tarpaulin mounting frame as set forth in  claim 1  further comprising a weatherstrip profile adapted to be received in said receptacle of said anchor profile, said weatherstrip profile having a recess adapted to receive the tarpaulin. 
   
   
       8 . A tarpaulin mounting frame comprising:
 a frame profile having at least one groove;   an anchor profile having a rounded-off foot on its edge facing the tarpaulin, said rounded-off foot being insertable into said groove of said frame profile and pivotable therein, said anchor profile having at least one receptacle for a weatherstrip holder, said weatherstrip holder being pivotable therein; and   wherein said anchor profile reaching a position substantially parallel to the plane of the tarpaulin by pivoting around said foot thereby tightening the tarpaulin, wherein said anchor profile between said foot and said receptacle for said weatherstrip holder being in contact with said frame profile.   
   
   
       9 . The tarpaulin mounting frame as set forth in  claim 8  further comprising a rotatable anchor mechanism located on said anchor profile, said rotatable anchor mechanism being engagable with a defined undercut groove located on said frame profile.

The tarpaulin mounting frame as set forth in  claim 8 , wherein the plane of the tarpaulin has a smaller spacing from the back plane of said frame profile than the rotation point of said weatherstrip holder on said anchor profile, and that the spacing of the rotation point of said anchor profile relative to said frame profile is even larger from the back plane. 
   
   
       11 . The tarpaulin mounting frame as set forth in  claim 8 , wherein said frame profile further comprising a defined recess, said recess of said frame profile and said foot of said anchor profile are a spiral hinge. 
   
   
       12 . The tarpaulin mounting frame as set forth in  claim 8 , wherein said weatherstrip holder having a hook and at least one defined recess opposite said hook, said hook being adapted to be received by said receptacle of said anchor allowing said hook to rotate therein, said recess being adapted to receive the tarpaulin. 
   
   
       13 . A tarpaulin mounting frame comprising:
 a frame profile;   an intermediate profile having at least one groove, said intermediate profile being connectable to said frame profile;   an anchor profile having at least one receptacle for a weatherstrip holder and a rounded-off foot on its edge facing the tarpaulin, said rounded-off foot being insertable into said groove of said intermediate profile and pivotable therein, said weatherstrip holder being pivotable in said receptacle; and   wherein said anchor profile reaching a position substantially parallel to the plane of the tarpaulin by pivoting around said foot thereby tightening the tarpaulin, wherein said anchor profile between said foot and said receptacle for said weatherstrip holder is in contact with said intermediate profile.   
   
   
       14 . The tarpaulin mounting frame as set forth in  claim 8 , further comprising a support ledge extending out form said anchor profile, and a support ledge extending out from said weatherstrip holder, wherein pivoting said anchor profile about said support ledge of said weatherstrip holder until said support ledge of said anchor profile comes in contact with said support ledge of said weatherstrip holder and thereby stabilizes the connection. 
   
   
       15 . The tarpaulin mounting frame as set forth in  claim 13 , wherein said anchor profile further comprising a mounting ledge, a spiral end opposite said mounting ledge, and a spiral hinge, said spiral end being adapted to be received in a hook on said intermediate profile allowing said anchor profile to pivot in relation to said intermediate profile.

The tarpaulin mounting frame as set forth in  claim 15  further comprising a protrusion located above an upper most ledge on said frame profile, said protrusion being adapted to secure said mounting ledge of said anchor profile together with an upper hoop end on said intermediate profile when said anchor profile is pivoted toward said intermediate profile. 
   
   
       17 . The tarpaulin mounting frame as set forth in  claim 15  further comprising a spiral ledge located adjacent said hook of said intermediate profile, said spiral ledge provides a resistance force to said weatherstrip holder. 
   
   
       18 . The tarpaulin mounting frame as set forth in  claim 16  further comprising a groove defined at the end of said frame profile below said upper most ledge, and a stub ledge located on said intermediate profile adapted to be received in said groove of said frame profile. 
   
   
       19 . The tarpaulin mounting frame as set forth in  claim 13 , wherein the outer surface of said weatherstrip holder has a light-reflecting surface. 
   
   
       20 . The tarpaulin mounting frame as set forth in  claim 13 , wherein the outer surface of said anchor has a light-reflecting surface.
