Abstract

A trigger mechanism of a firearm is modified by having its right hand side (in the direction of fire) arm, removed, while leaving the left hand side arm intact, which eliminates its co-operation with a right hand side striker catch, consequently preventing an attempt to reinstall the removed parts. In a second version, the trigger mechanism is manufactured without its right arm. The safety catch is modified by inserting a groove near a far end such that it is configured to receive a firearm interrupter, enabling its manning and firing of a single shot when the firearm is in the horizontal position, while preventing the firearm from shooting when in a vertical position.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A safety catch for a firearm, wherein the safety catch has a near end and a far end, and a groove located on the far end and configured to receive a firearm interrupter.

2 . The safety catch for a firearm of claim 1 , wherein the groove has a width ranging from about 1 mm to about 9 mm and a depth ranging from about 1 mm to about 5 mm.

3 . A trigger mechanism feather for a rifle, the feather having only one arm.

4 . The trigger mechanism feather of claim 3 , wherein the one arm is on the left hand side as viewed in the direction of fire.

5 . A trigger mechanism feather for a rifle, the rifle being modified such that it lacks cooperation with a striker catch.

6 . The trigger mechanism of claim 5 , wherein said rifle is a semi-automatic rifle.

7 . The trigger mechanism feather of claim 5 , wherein the striker catch is on the right hand side as viewed in the direction of fire.

8 . A trigger mechanism feather for a semi-automatic rifle, the feather being produced by removing one of its original arms.

9 . The trigger mechanism feather of claim 8 , wherein the arm is removed from the right hand side as viewed in the direction of fire.
