Abstract
A process for preparing a polymer comprising the step of: polymerizing: (i) an allyloxytrifluoropropene derivative selected from the group consisting of compounds represented by the formula: CF 3 CH═CH(OCH 2 CR═CH 2 ); CF 3 CH═C(OCH 2 CR═CH 2 ) 2 ; CF 3 CH═CF(OCH 2 CR═CH 2 ); and any mixtures thereof; wherein R is selected from the group consisting of: hydrogen and methyl; and optionally (ii) an ethylenically unsaturated comonomer; wherein the copolymerizing step is carried out in the presence of a catalyst, under conditions sufficient to produce the copolymer.

polymerizing: (i) an allyloxytrifluoropropene derivative selected from the group consisting of compounds represented by the formula:
CF 3 CH═CH(OCH 2 CR═CH 2 );
CF 3 CH═C(OCH 2 CR═CH 2 ) 2 ;
CF 3 CH═CF(OCH 2 CR═CH 2 ); and
any mixtures thereof; wherein R is selected from the group consisting of: hydrogen and methyl; and optionally
(ii) an ethylenically unsaturated comonomer; wherein said copolymerizing step is carried out in the presence of a catalyst, under conditions sufficient to produce said copolymer.
2 . The process of claim 1 , wherein said catalyst comprises methylphenylsilane and CO 2 (CO) 8 .
