Multi-purpose strap and belt

Abstract

The present disclosure provides for systems/designs for a multi-purpose, dual strap and belt system that facilitates ready access to a variety of attachments. A multi-purpose, dual strap and belt system that includes attachments features for releasably securing tools or accessories to the dual strap and belt system is disclosed. The multi-purpose, dual strap and belt system has particular application for outdoors-related activities, e.g., fishing, hunting, hiking, climbing or the like. The present disclosure provides for systems/designs for a strap for a transporting device that can also function as a belt for outdoors-related activities, where the multi-purpose, dual strap and belt system/design includes attachment features for releasably securing tools or accessories to the dual strap and belt system/design, and where the tools or accessories are readily accessible to the activity participant.

1 . A dual strap and belt system comprising:
 at least one elongated strip;   at least one attachment module positioned on the at least one elongated strip;   a first end fastener adjustably positioned along the length of the at least one elongated strip;   a second end fastener adjustably positioned along the length of the at least one elongated strip;   each of the first and second end fasteners including an engagement structure that is configured and dimensioned to releasably fasten to a transporting device to allow a user to utilize the elongated strip in connection with the transporting device; and   the engagement structure associated with the first and second end fasteners being configured and dimensioned to releasably fasten together around a user's body to allow a user to utilize the elongated strip as a belt.   
   
   
       2 . The dual strap and belt system of  claim 1 , further comprising a padded portion and a second elongated strip, wherein the at least one elongated strip is securedly, fixedly attached to one end of the padded portion, and the second elongated strip is securedly, fixedly attached to the opposite end of the padded portion. 
   
   
       3 . The dual strap and belt system of  claim 2 , wherein the first end fastener is adjustably positioned along the length of the at least one elongated strip, and where the second end fastener is adjustably positioned along the length of the second elongated strip. 
   
   
       4 . The dual strap and belt system of  claim 2 , wherein the padded portion further comprises a waterproof or water-resistant exterior material. 
   
   
       5 . The dual strap and belt system of  claim 1 , wherein the form of the at least one elongated strip is selected from the group consisting of nylon, braided nylon, polypropylene, polyester, polyethylene, leather, cotton and combinations thereof. 
   
   
       6 . The dual strap and belt system of  claim 1 , wherein the transporting device is selected from the group consisting of a bag, container, pouch, box, suitcase, sack and purse. 
   
   
       7 . The dual strap and belt system of  claim 1 , wherein the first and second end fasteners are selected from the group consisting of releasable snap-on fasteners, releasable clip-on fasteners, releasable button-on fasteners, zip-on fasteners, releasable strap-on fasteners, Velcro® fasteners and combinations thereof. 
   
   
       8 . The dual strap and belt system of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one attachment module is slidably moveable in either direction along the at least one elongated strip. 
   
   
       9 . The dual strap and belt system of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one attachment module is securedly, fixedly attached to the at least one elongated strip. 
   
   
       10 . The dual strap and belt system of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one attachment module includes at least one opening sized to receive an attachment insert fitting located on an releasable attachment article to allow a user to attach a releasable attachment article to the attachment module. 
   
   
       11 . The dual strap and belt system of  claim 10 , where the user is utilizing the elongated strip in connection with the transporting device. 
   
   
       12 . The dual strap and belt system of  claim 10 , where the user is utilizing the elongated strip as a belt. 
   
   
       13 . The dual strap and belt system of  claim 10 , wherein the releasable attachment article is a utility pod for fishing applications. 
   
   
       14 . The dual strap and belt system of  claim 10 , wherein the releasable attachment article is a rigging sheath for fishing applications. 
   
   
       15 . The dual strap and belt system of  claim 14 , wherein the rigging sheath houses rigging tubes. 
   
   
       16 . The dual strap and belt system of  claim 10 , wherein the releasable attachment article is a sheath for fishing applications. 
   
   
       17 . The dual strap and belt system of  claim 10 , wherein the releasable attachment article is a container for fishing applications. 
   
   
       18 . A dual strap and belt system comprising:
 a padded portion;   a first elongated strip fixedly attached to one end of the padded portion;   a second elongated strip fixedly attached to the other end of the padded portion;   a first end fastener adjustably positioned along the length of the first elongated strip;   a second end fastener adjustably positioned along the length of the second elongated strip;   at least one attachment module positioned on the first or second elongated strip, the at least one attachment module having at least one opening sized to receive an attachment insert fitting located on an releasable attachment article to allow a user to attach a releasable attachment article to the attachment module;   each of the first and second end fasteners including an engagement structure that is configured and dimensioned to releasably fasten to a transporting device to allow a user to utilize the elongated strip in connection with the transporting device; and   the engagement structure associated with the first and second end fasteners being configured and dimensioned to releasably fasten together around a user's body to allow a user to utilize the elongated strip as a belt.   
   
   
       19 . The dual strap and belt system of  claim 18 , wherein the transporting device is a bag. 
   
   
       20 . The dual strap and belt system of  claim 18 , wherein the releasable attachment article is selected from the group consisting of utility pod, rigging sheath, sheath, pouch, container, bag and box.
