. A tie rod for joining together opposite side sections of a formwork, said tie rod comprising:
a mid portion; two rod end portions having a rest for a wedge device for securing the side sections of the casting formwork; and at least one abutment surface located between said mid portion and either rod end portion, said abutment arranged to rest supportingly on an internal side surface of the side sections, wherein said tie rod includes a stem of great tensile strength with a surrounding mantle, said mid portion and said mantle of said stem being a continuous structure of a non-corrosive material.
. The tie rod in accordance with claim 24 , further comprising said tie rod formed of a composite material.
. The tie rod in accordance with claims 24 , said stem comprising fibre-reinforcement in an axial direction of said tie rod.
. The tie rod in accordance with claims 24 , further comprising said mantle and said mid portion formed of the same type of material.
. The tie rod in accordance with claims 24 , further comprising said mantle and said mid portion are joined by fusion of a material forming said mantle and a material forming said mid portion.
. The tie rod in accordance with claim 24 , further comprising said mantle and said mid portion joined by glue.
. The tie rod in accordance with claim 24 , said mid portion comprising a means for non-releasable engagement with a surrounding casting material.
. The tie rod in accordance with claim 24 , further comprising said mid portion and said stem portion surrounded by said mid portion arranged to form a watertight, non-releasable, through plug.
. The tie rod in accordance with claim 24 , said abutment surface comprising a widened cross-section in an end portion of said mid portion.
. The tie rod in accordance with claim 24 , further comprising at least one portion of said mid portion having a non-circular cross section.
. The tie rod in accordance with claim 24 , said mid portion comprising a plurality of concentric cross-sectional widenings.
. The tie rod in accordance with claim 24 , said mid portion comprising one or more substantially annular grooves arranged to receive and fix in a radial and an axial directions at least one locking means for a plate-shaped building material, said annular grooves being complementary to a portion of said locking means.
. The tie rod in accordance with claim 35 , said locking means comprising a non-corrosive material.
. The tie rod in accordance with claim 24 , said mid portion comprising at least one means arranged to receive a reinforcing means.
. The tie rod in accordance with claim 24 , said mid portion comprising at least one substantially annular groove.
. The tie rod in accordance with claim 38 , said substantially annular groove comprising a trapezoidal cross-section having a smallest width at a bottom of said groove, and side edges of said groove having a constant angle of inclination relative to a centre axis of said tie rod.
. The tie rod in accordance with claim 24 , said mid portion comprising being arranged to receive at least one securing means for securing said reinforcing means.
. The tie rod in accordance with claim 40 , said securing means comprising a non-corrosive material.
. The tie rod in accordance with claim 24 , said rod end portion comprising being arranged to receive at least one securing disc for securing a plate-shaped building material.
. The tie rod in accordance with claim 42 , said securing disc comprising a means for releasable connection to said mantle surface of said rod end portion.
. The tie rod in accordance with claim 42 , said securing disc comprising a plurality of resilient fingers extending from a circumferential portion in a radial direction towards a center opening.
. The tie rod in accordance with claim 42 , said securing disc comprising a non-corrosive material.
. The tie rod in accordance with claim 24 , further comprising said tie rod having a thermal conductivity less than a thermal conductivity of a surrounding completed cast structure.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
