Fragrance releasing scented shoes and shoe soles

Abstract

The present invention provides at least one sole and at least one shoe comprising an outside wearable surface layer of a shoe sole comprising an added fragrance that is released and has an aroma when the shoe is at rest or there is friction being applied to the sole surface.

1 . At least one shoe, comprising at least one outside wearable surface layer of a shoe sole comprising at least one added fragrance that is released and provides an aroma when said shoe sole is (i) at rest; or (ii) in normal use due to friction, heat buildup, or wear. 
     
     
         2 . At least one shoe, comprising at least one shoe sole comprising at least one added fragrance that is released and provides an aroma when said shoe sole is (i) at rest; or (ii) in normal use due to friction, heat buildup, or wear, wherein said shoe sole is not an insole, an innersole, an insert, or midsole. 
     
     
         3 . At least one shoe sole comprising at least one added fragrance that is released and provides an aroma when said shoe sole is (i) at rest; or (ii) in normal use due to friction, heat buildup, or wear, wherein said shoe sole is not an insole, an innersole, an insert, or midsole. 
     
     
         4 . The shoe of  claim 1 , wherein said fragrance is comprised in at least one installable plug or insert in said sole. 
     
     
         5 . The shoe of  claim 4 , wherein said plug or insert has a color that is associated with said detectable aroma of said plug or insert. 
     
     
         6 . The shoe of  claim 1 , wherein said sole further comprises at least one added pheromone, smoking composition, color, or reflective, refractive, sparkling, shining, holographic, jewel-like, pearlescent, fluorescent, or glow-in-the dark visual component, wherein said visual component does not produce light and does not comprise the use of a chemical reaction that produces light. 
     
     
         7 . The shoe of  claim 1 , wherein said sole comprises an additional void adjacent to the outside surface of said shoe sole, wherein said void comprises a receptacle that allows for the insertion of at least one additional removable plug or insert that comprises at least one added fragrance, pheromone, smoking composition, color, or reflective, refractive, sparkling, shining, holographic, jewel-like, pearlescent, fluorescent, or glow-in-the dark visual component, wherein said visual component does not produce light and does not comprise the use of a chemical reaction that produces light. 
     
     
         8 . The shoe of  claim 1 , wherein said outside wearable surface layer comprises two or more sections along the depth, or perpendicular or parallel to, said outside wearable surface layer of said shoe sole. 
     
     
         9 . The shoe of  claim 8 , wherein at least one of said sections comprises said added fragrance. 
     
     
         10 . The shoe of  claim 1 , wherein said at least one fragrance comprises two or more fragrances. 
     
     
         11 . The shoe of  claim 2 , wherein said fragrance is comprised in at least one installable plug or insert in said sole. 
     
     
         12 . The shoe of  claim 10 , wherein said plug or insert has a color that is associated with said detectable aroma of said plug or insert. 
     
     
         13 . The shoe of  claim 2 , wherein said sole further comprises at least one added pheromone, smoking composition, color, or reflective, refractive, sparkling, shining, holographic, jewel-like, pearlescent, fluorescent, or glow-in-the dark visual component, wherein said visual component does not produce light and does not comprise the use of a chemical reaction that produces light. 
     
     
         14 . The shoe of  claim 2 , wherein said sole comprises an additional void adjacent to the outside surface of said shoe sole, wherein said void comprises a receptacle that allows for the insertion of at least one additional removable plug or insert that comprises at least one added fragrance, pheromone, smoking composition, color, or reflective, refractive, sparkling, shining, holographic, jewel-like, pearlescent, fluorescent, or glow-in-the dark visual component, wherein said visual component does not produce light and does not comprise the use of a chemical reaction that produces light. 
     
     
         15 . The sole of  claim 3 , wherein said fragrance is comprised in at least one installable plug or insert in said sole. 
     
     
         16 . The sole of  claim 12 , wherein said plug or insert has a color that is associated with said detectable aroma of said plug or insert. 
     
     
         17 . The sole of  claim 3 , wherein said sole further comprises at least one added pheromone, smoking composition, color, or reflective, refractive, sparkling, shining, holographic, jewel-like, pearlescent, fluorescent, or glow-in-the dark visual component, wherein said visual component does not produce light and does not comprise the use of a chemical reaction that produces light. 
     
     
         18 . The sole of  claim 3 , wherein said sole comprises an additional void adjacent to the outside surface of said shoe sole, wherein said void comprises a receptacle that allows for the insertion of at least one additional removable plug or insert that comprises at least one added fragrance, pheromone, smoking composition, color, or reflective, refractive, sparkling, shining, holographic, jewel-like, pearlescent, fluorescent, or glow-in-the dark visual component, wherein said visual component does not produce light and does not comprise the use of a chemical reaction that produces light. 
     
     
         19 . The at least one shoe of  claim 6 , wherein
 a. said at least one shoe comprises a first shoe and a second shoe,   b. said at least one added fragrance is provided as a first added fragrance and a second added fragrance, and   c. said first added fragrance is provided in said sole of said first shoe; and   d. said second added fragrance is provided in said sole of said second shoe.   
     
     
         20 . The at least one shoe of  claim 13 , wherein
 a. said at least one shoe comprises a first shoe and a second shoe,   b. said at least one added fragrance is provided as a first added fragrance and a second added fragrance, and   c. said first added fragrance is provided in said sole of said first shoe; and   d. said second added fragrance is provided in said sole of said second shoe.
