Abstract

A reel device ( 1 ) where the reel ( 1 ) is constituted by separable components ( 14, 16, 30 ), and where the reel is arranged especially to be used in transport and storage of long, coilable bodies, or optionally assembled bodies, wherein cylinder segments ( 30 ) of the reel ( 1 ) can be connected to end flanges ( 2, 2 ′) of the reel ( 1 ) at more than one radial distance from the central axis of the reel ( 1 ).

A reel device ( 1 ) where the reel ( 1 ) is constituted by separable components ( 14 ,  16 ,  30 ), and where the reel is arranged especially to be used in transport and storage of long, coilable bodies or, optionally, assembled bodies, characterized in that cylinder segments ( 30 ) of the reel ( 1 ) can be connected to end flanges ( 2 ,  2 ′) of the reel ( 1 ) at more than one radial distance from the central axis of the reel ( 1 ). 
   
   
       2 . A device in accordance with  claim 1 , characterized in that a cylindrical central portion ( 4 ) of the reel ( 1 ) is made up of cylinder segments ( 30 ). 
   
   
       3 . A device in accordance with  claim 1 , characterized in that the cylinder segments ( 30 ) are interconnected by means of dovetail connections ( 38 ,  40 ). 
   
   
       4 . A device in accordance with  claim 3 , characterized in that the cylinder segments ( 30 ) are interconnected by means of screw-bolt-joints ( 38 ,  40 ). 
   
   
       5 . A device in accordance with  claim 3 , characterized in that the cylinder segments ( 30 ) are interconnected by means of over centre locks ( 42 ). 
   
   
       6 . A device in accordance with  claim 3 , characterized in that the cylinder segments ( 30 ) are connected to the end flanges ( 2 ,  2 ′) by fastening hooks ( 34 ). 
   
   
       7 . A device in accordance with  claim 3 , characterized in that the cylinder segments ( 30 ) are locked to the end flanges ( 2 ) by means of a latch pin ( 36 ). 
   
   
       8 . A device in accordance with  claim 1 , characterized in that the separable components ( 14 ,  16 ) of the end flanges ( 2 ,  2 ′) comprise flange segments ( 16 ) and triangular flange portions ( 14 ).
