Abstract

Methods and compositions for the treatment of multiple sclerosis comprising riluzole (6-(trifluoromethoxy)-benzothiazolamine) are disclosed herein.

         15 . A pharmaceutical composition comprising:
 (a) a first composition comprising 6-(trifluoromethoxy)-2-benzothiazolamine or a salt thereof; and   (b) a second composition comprising a second agent selected from the group consisting of steroids, pain relievers, muscle relaxants, and immunosuppressants.   
     
     
         16 . The pharmaceutical composition of  claim 15 , wherein the second agent is a steroid. 
     
     
         17 . The pharmaceutical composition of  claim 15 , wherein the second agent is a pain reliever. 
     
     
         18 . The pharmaceutical composition of  claim 15 , wherein the second agent is a muscle relaxant. 
     
     
         19 . The pharmaceutical composition of  claim 15 , wherein the second agent is an immunosuppressant.
