Abstract

The invention relates to a method for producing a toothed section from a densified sintered material, whereas a predensified tooth preform is densified by at least 0.05 mm from its surface at least in one area by means of iteratively determined data to yield its final form, and a final form quality in a range of at least f Hα =4, F α =7 and F fα =7 is being achieved.

1 . A method for producing a toothed component of sintered material comprising:
 densifying, in at least one area, a predensified tooth preform of the component at least 0.05 mm from a surface of the preform by iteratively determined data to yield a final predetermined form, the final form having a quality of at least f Hα =4, F α =7 and F fα =7.   
     
     
         2 . The method according to  claim 1 , further comprising identifying parameters relating to material behaviour during the surface densification of the at least one area. 
     
     
         3 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein iteration for determining a preform is based on input data taken from a predetermined final form set value. 
     
     
         4 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein the densifying step is performed with a rolling die is used, the rolling die being of the same quality as the final form. 
     
     
         5 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein the toothing has the final form quality after surface densification, without a further material-removing postmachining step. 
     
     
         7 . A workpiece produced by the method according to  claim 1 , having a core density of at least 7.4 g/cm 3  and a maximum surface density in at least one area of a tooth flank extending to a depth of at least 0.02 μm. 
     
     
         8 . A device for producing surface densification on a tooth system, wherein the device performs a surface densification by iteratively determined data according to the method of  claim 1 . 
     
     
         9 . A computer program product with program code means, which are stored on a computer-readable medium, for carrying out the method according to  claim 1  when the program is run on a computer.
