Abstract

Space-heating apparatus, comprising a radiator with a fluid to transfer the heat and an electric heating element, general means for adjusting and controlling grouped together in two separate assemblies, in which a first assembly comprises: control elements that can be operated from the outside and selectively set by the user, a transmission means for modulating/coding signals that represent the settings in said control elements, and for transmitting said signals to a second assembly that comprises: adjusting elements and respective control means, relating at the electric current supplied to said heating element, and means for receiving and for demodulating the signals coming from said transmission means; said first assembly is arranged on the upper part of the apparatus, and said transmission means and receiving means transmit by radio-frequency or infrared signals.

1 . An electrically-powered space-heating apparatus, comprising:
 a radiator containing a fluid to transfer heat from an electric heating element,   adjusting and controlling means for adjusting and controlling functions of said radiator, characterized in that said adjusting and controlling means are grouped together in two separate assemblies, in which a first assembly comprises:   control elements that can be operated from the outside and are suitable for being selectively set to define different operating modes of said apparatus,   transmission means suitable for modulating/coding signals that represent the settings selected via said control elements, and for transmitting said signals to the outside of said first assembly,   
     and wherein a second assembly comprises:
 adjusting means for adjusting the electric current supplied to said electric heating element, 
 controlling means for controlling said adjusting means, 
 receiving means for receiving and for demodulating/decoding the signals coming from said transmission means. 
 
   
   
       2 . Apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein said transmission means and receiving means are suitable for transmitting and receiving radio-frequency signals. 
   
   
       3 . Apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein said transmission means and receiving means are suitable for transmitting and receiving infrared signals. 
   
   
       4 . Apparatus according to  claim 2 , wherein said first assembly is arranged on the upper part of said apparatus. 
   
   
       5 . Apparatus according to  claim 4 , wherein said second assembly is arranged in the lower part of said apparatus. 
   
   
       6 . Apparatus according to  claim 5 , wherein said second assembly is directly fitted to one end of said electric heating element. 
   
   
       7 . Apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein said control elements comprise a thermostatic device and a device for selecting the operating mode. 
   
   
       8 . Apparatus according to any of the previous claims, wherein said first and second assemblies are enclosed in respective shells or casings, and that transducers of the respective transmission and receiving means are arranged in a direct line of sight on the outside of said shells. 
   
   
       9 . Apparatus according to  claim 3 , wherein said first assembly is arranged on the upper part of said apparatus. 
   
   
       10 . Apparatus according to  claim 9 , wherein said second assembly is arranged in the lower part of said apparatus. 
   
   
       11 . Apparatus according to  claim 10 , wherein said second assembly is directly fitted to one end of said electric heating element.
