Clamping device for portable electronic device
Abstract
A clamping device ( 100 ) for clamping a portable electronic device is provided. The clamping device includes a mounting board ( 12 ) and a clamping mechanism ( 14 ). The clamping mechanism includes at least one adjusting member ( 141 ), at least one sliding block ( 145 ), and a sliding rail ( 146 ). The sliding rail is selectively attached to the mounting board, either horizontally or vertically. Each respective sliding block is slidably mounted to the sliding rail. Each adjusting member respectively engages with a corresponding sliding block and is configured to drive the corresponding sliding block to move along the sliding rail.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A clamping device, comprising:
a mounting board; and a clamping mechanism, comprising: a sliding rail selectively attached to the mounting board one of horizontally and vertically relative thereto; at least one sliding block slidably mounted to the sliding rail; and
at least one adjusting member respectively engaging with a corresponding sliding block and being configured to drive the corresponding sliding block to move along the sliding rail.
2 . The clamping device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the sliding rail comprises an upper portion, a lower portion, and two side portions, the lower portion is mounted to the mounting board, and each sliding block is mounted to the upper portion.
3 . The clamping device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the sliding rail comprises an upper portion, a lower portion, and two side portions, one side portion is mounted to the mounting board, and each sliding block is mounted to the upper portion.
4 . The clamping device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the sliding rail comprises an upper portion, a lower portion, and two side portions, the lower portion and one side portion have, respectively, at least one holding hole defined therein, and each holding hole is configured to facilitate horizontally or vertically attaching the sliding rail to the mounting board.
5 . The clamping device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the sliding block defines a sliding groove therein, the sliding rail comprises an upper portion and a lower portion, and the upper portion of the sliding rail engages into the sliding groove.
6 . The clamping device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the adjusting member comprises an operating portion, a resisting portion, a connecting portion, and an adjusting portion, the connecting portion connects the resisting portion and the adjusting portion and is dimensioned to be smaller than the resisting portion and the adjusting portion, a side of the sliding block defines a blind hole therein, and the resisting portion engages in the blind hole.
7 . The clamping device as claimed in claim 6 , wherein the clamping mechanism further comprises a resisting member attached to the sliding block, the resisting member has a retaining groove defined therethrough, and the connecting portion of the adjusting member is retained in the retaining groove.
8 . The clamping device as claimed in claim 6 , wherein the clamping mechanism further comprises a guiding member attached to the sliding rail, the guiding member has a guiding hole defined therethrough, and the adjusting portion of the adjusting member engages in the guiding hole.
9 . The clamping device as claimed in claim 8 , wherein the clamping mechanism further comprises a guiding member, the guiding member has a guiding hole defined therethrough, the adjusting portion of the adjusting member engages into the guiding hole, and the guiding member is manufactured integrally with the sliding rail.
10 . The clamping device as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising a base board, the mounting board being mounted to the base board.
11 . The clamping device as claimed in claim 10 , wherein the base board comprises at least one mounting groove defined therein, the at least one mounting board includes a protrusion formed thereon, and the protrusion engages into one of the mounting grooves.
12 . The clamping device as claimed in claim 10 , wherein the mounting board comprises two through grooves defined therethrough, and each through groove is configured to facilitate the mounting board mounting to the base board.
13 . The clamping device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the clamping mechanism further comprises at least one limiting member, and each respective limiting member is configured in such a manner that the respective limiting member is attached to the sliding block so that the respective limiting member resists the sliding rail and prevents a corresponding sliding block from falling from the sliding rail.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
