Skin-Enhancing Glove and Method of Manufacture

Abstract

A protective glove includes a coating of dehydrated material on its inside surface. The dehydrated material, in contact with perspiration from a hand wearing the glove, soothes the hand. Some methods of placing the coating onto the inside surface of the glove include spraying or dipping with a solution that includes Aloe Vera.

1 . An article for protecting a hand, the article comprising:
 a disposable glove that is fluid-impermeable; and   a coating on a surface of the disposable glove, the coating including a dry skin-moisturizing substance that had undergone dehydration, prior to becoming dry, while on the surface of the disposable glove, wherein, the coating contacts a hand during donning of the article onto the hand, and the coating absorbs moisture from perspiration when worn on the hand to form a moistened skin-moisturizing substance.   
     
     
         2 . The article of  claim 1  wherein the skin-moisturizing substance is a medicinal substance. 
     
     
         3 . The article of  claim 1  wherein the disposable glove is made from a natural rubber latex. 
     
     
         4 . The article of  claim 1  wherein the coating is moistened only by perspiration from the hand. 
     
     
         5 . The article of  claim 1  wherein the disposable glove is a single-layer glove. 
     
     
         6 . The article of  claim 5  wherein the coating is to be moistened only by perspiration of the hand. 
     
     
         7 . An article for protecting a hand, the article comprising:
 a disposable glove that is fluid-impermeable; and   a coating on a surface of the disposable glove, the coating including a dry skin-soothing substance that had undergone dehydration, prior to becoming dry, while on the surface of the disposable glove, wherein, the coating contacts a hand during donning of the article onto the hand, and the coating absorbs moisture from perspiration when worn on the hand to form a moistened skin-soothing substance.   
     
     
         8 . An article for protecting a hand, the article comprising:
 a disposable glove that is fluid-impermeable; and   a coating on a surface of the disposable glove, the coating including a dry skin softening substance that had undergone dehydration, prior to becoming dry, while on the surface of the disposable glove, wherein, the coating contacts a hand during donning of the article onto the hand, and the coating absorbs moisture from perspiration when worn on the hand to form a moistened skin softening substance.   
     
     
         9 . An article for protecting a hand, the article comprising:
 a disposable glove that is fluid-impermeable; and   a coating on a surface of the disposable glove, the coating including a dry skin nourishing substance that had undergone dehydration, prior to becoming dry, while on the surface of the disposable glove, wherein, the coating contacts a hand during donning of the article onto the hand, and the coating absorbs moisture from perspiration when worn on the hand to form a moistened skin nourishing substance.   
     
     
         10 . An article for protecting a hand, the article comprising:
 a disposable glove that is fluid-impermeable; and   a coating on a surface of the disposable glove, the coating including a dry skin emollient substance that had undergone dehydration, prior to becoming dry, while on the surface of the disposable glove, wherein, the coating contacts a hand during donning of the article onto the hand, and the coating absorbs moisture from perspiration when worn on the hand to form a moistened skin emollient substance.   
     
     
         11 . An article for protecting a hand, the article comprising:
 a disposable glove that is fluid-impermeable; and   a coating on a surface of the disposable glove, the coating including a dry skin anti-inflammatory substance that had undergone dehydration, prior to becoming dry, while on the surface of the disposable glove, wherein, the coating contacts a hand during donning of the article onto the hand, and the coating absorbs moisture from perspiration when worn on the hand to form a moistened skin anti-inflammatory substance.   
     
     
         12 . A method of manufacturing an article for protecting a hand, the method comprising the acts of:
 forming a disposable glove that is fluid impermeable;   spraying the interior surface of said glove with a skin-moisturizing substance and a liquid carrier; and   evaporating the liquid carrier to form a dehydrated coating of skin-moisturizing substance attached to the interior surface of said glove, so that the skin-moisturizing substance contacts the hand of a person wearing said glove.   
     
     
         13 . The method of  claim 12  wherein said liquid carrier is water. 
     
     
         14 . The method of  claim 12  wherein said interior surface of said glove is treated with chlorine prior to spraying said surface with a skin-moisturizing substance and a liquid carrier. 
     
     
         15 . A method of manufacturing an article for protecting a hand, the method comprising the acts of:
 forming a disposable glove that is fluid-impermeable;   spraying an aqueous solution of a skin-moisturizing substance to the interior surface of said glove; and   removing the liquid carrier to form a dehydrated coating of skin-moisturizing substance attached to the interior surface of said glove, so that the skin-moisturizing substance contacts the hand of a person when wearing said glove,   turning the glove right side out, so that the dehydrated coating of skin-moisturizing substance contacts the hand of a person when wearing said glove.
