Abstract

A roof diffuser adapted to be mounted to a roof portion, the apparatus comprising: a top edge portion; a side edge portion having a substantially straight portion being substantially perpendicular to the top edge portion and a curved portion in communication with the substantially straight portion; a protrusion, wherein the protrusion meets the curved portion of the side edge portion; at least two steps, wherein each of the at least two steps is substantially parallel to the top edge portion and located above the protrusion.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A roof diffuser adapted to be mounted to a portion of a roof, said roof diffuser comprising:
a top edge portion; a side edge portion having a substantially straight portion being substantially perpendicular to said top edge portion and a curved portion in communication with said substantially straight portion; a protrusion, wherein said protrusion meets at least a portion of said curved portion of said side edge portion; and at least two steps, wherein each of said at least two steps is substantially parallel to said top edge portion and located above said protrusion.

2 . A roof diffuser apparatus as in claim 1 , wherein said top edge portion has at least one cut corner.

3 . A roof diffuser apparatus as in claim 1 , wherein each of said at least two steps is narrower than the step it is below.

4 . A roof diffuser apparatus as in claim 1 , wherein the top of each of said at least two steps is at an angle between ten and ninety degrees from said roof portion.

5 . A roof diffuser apparatus as in claim 1 , wherein said protrusion is a forty five degree kick out.

6 . A roof diffuser apparatus as in claim 1 , wherein said protrusion is kickout at an angle between fifteen and ninety degrees.

7 . A roof diffuser apparatus as in claim 1 , wherein the top of each said step is angled downward away from said side edge portion to direct flow away from said side edge portion.

8 . A roof diffuser apparatus as in claim 1 , wherein said protrusion is adapted to fit in a gutter opening.

9 . A roof diffuser adapted to be mounted to a roof portion, said roof diffuser comprising:
a top edge portion; at least one side edge portion having a substantially straight portion being substantially perpendicular to said top edge portion and a curved portion in communication with said substantially straight portion; a protrusion, wherein said protrusion meets said curved portion of each said at least one side edge portion and is at an angle between fifteen and ninety degrees; at least three steps, wherein each of said at least two steps is substantially parallel to said top edge portion, is narrower than the step it is below and are located above said protrusion.

10 . A roof diffuser apparatus as in claim 9 , wherein said top edge portion has at least one cut corner.

11 . A roof diffuser apparatus as in claim 9 , wherein the top of each said step is at an angle between ten and ninety degrees from the roof portion.

12 . A roof diffuser apparatus as in claim 9 , wherein said protrusion is a forty five degree kick out.

13 . A roof diffuser apparatus as in claim 9 , wherein the top of each said step is angled downward away from said side edge portion to direct flow away from said side edge portion.

14 . A roof diffuser apparatus as in claim 9 , wherein said protrusion is adapted to fit in a gutter opening.

15 . A roof diffuser apparatus adapted to be mounted to a roof portion, said roof diffuser comprising:
a top edge portion; two opposing side edge portions, each said side edge portion having a substantially straight portion being substantially perpendicular to said top edge portion and a curved portion in communication with said substantially straight portion; a protrusion, wherein said protrusion meets said curved portion of each said side edge portions; at least two steps, wherein each of said at least two steps is substantially parallel to said top edge portion, is narrower than the step it is below and is located above said protrusion and between said two opposing side edge portions.

16 . A roof diffuser apparatus as in claim 15 , wherein said top edge portion has at least one cut corner.

17 . A roof diffuser apparatus as in claim 15 , wherein the top of each said step is at an angle between ten and ninety degrees from said roof portion.

18 . A roof diffuser apparatus as in claim 15 , wherein said protrusion is a forty five degree kick out.

19 . A roof diffuser apparatus as in claim 15 , wherein the top of each said step is angled downward away from the middle of said roof diffuser apparatus.

20 . A roof diffuser apparatus as in claim 15 , wherein said protrusion is adapted to fit in a gutter opening.

21 . A roof diffuser apparatus as in claim 15 , wherein said roof diffuser apparatus is folded along a center fold at a ninety degree angle.
