Abstract
A method of providing an individual with a modesty covering is presented. The method includes providing an article of clothing having a waistband and draping a front apron portion from the waistband. The method also includes connecting the waistband to a crotch receiving portion by using connection portions that extend generally perpendicularly from the waist band and at least partially covering the crotch receiving portion with the front apron portion. The method also includes connecting the front apron portion to the crotch receiving portion by at least one connecting stay. The method further includes the individual putting on the article of clothing. Movement or wind driven displacement of the front apron portion from a crotch area is prevented by the at least one connecting stay maintaining the front apron portion in position.

providing an article of clothing having a waistband ( 3 ); draping a front apron portion ( 1 ) from the waistband ( 3 ), connecting the waistband ( 3 ) to a crotch receiving portion ( 2 , 2 a ), using connection portions (a, e, f, i), that extend generally perpendicularly from the waist band ( 3 ); at least partially covering the crotch receiving portion with the front apron portion; connecting the front apron portion ( 1 ) to the crotch receiving portion by at least one connecting stay ( 5 ); the individual putting on the article of clothing, and preventing movement or wind driven displacement of the front apron portion from a crotch area by the at least one connecting stay ( 5 , 5 a ) maintaining the front apron portion in position.
2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
draping a rear apron portion ( 1 a ) from the waistband ( 3 ) opposite the front apron portion ( 1 ); and connecting the rear apron portion ( 1 a ) to a rear portion ( 2 a ) of the crotch receiving portion by at least one connecting stay ( 5 a ).
3 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
sizing the article of clothing to an individual by providing tightening elements ( 6 , 6 a ) between the waistband ( 3 ) and the connection portions (a, e, f, i).
4 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
providing the crotch receiving portion ( 2 ) with a band ( 4 ) that extends horizontal to the waistband ( 3 ), the band ( 4 ) including the connecting stay ( 5 ).
5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
providing a crotch receiving portion that is bikini or tanga-shaped.

An article of clothing ( 100 ) comprising a loin-cloth having a waistband ( 3 ) from which at least one front apron part ( 1 ) hangs down, the article of clothing ( 100 ) having a front crotch receiving portion and, linked thereto, a rear crotch receiving portion ( 2 , 2 a ), the crotch receiving portions ( 2 , 2 a ) being connected to the hip strap ( 3 ) at end sections thereof that point away from one another (a, e, f, i), and the at least one front apron part ( 1 ) at least partially covers the front crotch receiving portion ( 2 ), the front crotch receiving portion is closed off above a pubic area by a band ( 4 ) and is connected to the waistband ( 3 ) by two tightening elements ( 6 , 6 a ), and at least the front apron portion ( 1 ) is connected to the front crotch receiving portion ( 2 ) on both sides via connecting stays ( 5 ; 10 ).
7 . An article of clothing according to claim 6 , further comprising a rear apron part ( 1 a ) that hangs down from the waistband ( 3 ), opposite the front apron portion, and at least partially covers the rear crotch receiving portion ( 2 a ).
8 . An item of clothing according to claim 6 , wherein the rear apron part ( 1 a ) is connected to the rear crotch receiving portion ( 2 a ) by a loosely falling connecting stay ( 5 a ) formed of an elastic material.
9 . An article of clothing according to claim 6 , wherein the interconnected crotch receiving portions ( 2 , 2 a ) are bikini or tanga-shaped.
10 . An article of clothing according to claim 6 , wherein the front crotch receiving portion is closed off with the band ( 4 ) formed of a firm strip of cloth or a rubber band.
11 . An article of clothing according to claim 10 , wherein the band ( 4 ) comprises a firm stay ( 7 ).
12 . An article of clothing according to claim 11 , wherein points of attachment ( 8 , 8 a ) of the elastic tightening elements ( 6 , 6 a ) are attached below a central axis (II) of the firm stay ( 7 ).
13 . An article of clothing according to claim 11 , wherein a shape of an upper border of the firm stay ( 7 ) is adapted to a shape of the body above the pubic area.
14 . An article of clothing according to claim 6 , wherein at least one of the front apron part ( 1 ) or the rear apron part ( 1 a ) are detachably connected to the hip strap ( 3 ) in a visible or concealed manner by connecting devices ( 9 ).
15 . An article of clothing according to claim 6 , wherein a portion (a-e-d-b) of the front crotch receiving portion ( 2 ) is covered by the front apron part ( 1 ) and is at least partially formed of an elastic mesh fabric.
16 . An article of clothing according to claim 6 , wherein side borders of the front apron part ( 1 ) are formed as wedge-shaped, tapering connecting stays ( 10 ) turned inwardly, each of the wedge-shaped connecting stays ( 10 ) being linked at tips ( 12 ) thereof to the front crotch receiving portion ( 2 ).
17 . An article of clothing according to claim 6 , wherein the apron part ( 1 , 1 a ) and the crotch receiving portion ( 2 , 2 a ) are formed of a fabric which is washable and which essentially maintains its shape after several washes.
18 . An item of clothing according to claim 6 , wherein the crotch receiving portion ( 2 , 2 a ) is being made of an elastic fabric.
19 . An article of clothing according to claim 8 , wherein the connection stay ( 5 , 5 a ) is made of an elastic material.
