Abstract

The invention relates to a device for preparing a beverage, comprising: —a water reservoir ( 1 ); —a chamber ( 5 ) that is connected to said reservoir for delivering water; —means ( 17 ) for filling said chamber with water; —means ( 16 ) for emptying water from the chamber; —a compressed gas reservoir ( 2 ) with a three-way valve ( 4 ) for displacing said means so as to empty the chamber; and —a conduit ( 14 ) for conveying the water from the chamber to an extraction head.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A device for preparing a beverage, comprising:
a water reservoir; a chamber connected to the reservoir for delivering water; means for filling the chamber with water comprising a spring that relaxes in order to retract a piston that causes a valve to move from a first to a second position; means for emptying water from the chamber; a reservoir comprising a valve for emptying water so as to empty the chamber; and a conduit conveying the water from the chamber to above an extraction head.

2 . The device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the chamber has a volume of between 10 and 1000 cc.

3 . The device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the means for emptying water from the chamber comprises means using the pressure of a gas in order to empty the chamber.

4 . The device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the means for filling the chamber with water comprise gravitation means.

5 . The device as claimed in claim 3 , wherein the gas is chosen from the group consisting of air, CO 2 and nitrogen monoxide.

6 . The device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the extraction head is a head for pre-measured filter-paper capsules.

7 . The device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the water reservoir is a thermally-insulated hot-water reservoir.

8 . The device as claimed in claim 1 , comprising a heating system surrounding the chamber.

9 . The device as claimed in claim 1 , comprising a heating system between the chamber and the extraction head.

10 . The device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the chamber has a substantially cylindrical shape.

11 . The device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the chamber has a volume of between 50 and 150 cc.

12 . The device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the means for filling said chamber with water are mechanical means.

13 . The device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the extraction head is a head for sealed capsules.

       14 . A device for preparing a beverage, comprising:
a water reservoir; a chamber coupled to the reservoir; a spring and piston that are so constructed and arranged so that as the spring relaxes the piston causes a valve to move from a first to a second position; a compressed-gas reservoir having a valve for emptying the chamber of water; and a conduit conveying the water from the chamber to above an extraction head.

15 . The device as claimed in claim 14 , wherein the chamber has a volume of between 10 and 1000 cc.

16 . The device as claimed in claim 14 , wherein the water is emptied from the chamber using the pressure of the gas.

17 . The device as claimed in claim 14 , wherein the chamber is filled with water by gravitation means.

18 . The device as claimed in claim 16 , wherein the gas is chosen from the group consisting of air, CO 2 and nitrogen monoxide.

19 . The device as claimed in claim 14 , wherein the extraction head is a head for pre-measured filter-paper capsules or sealed capsules.

20 . The device as claimed in claim 14 , wherein the water reservoir is a thermally-insulated hot-water reservoir.

21 . The device as claimed in claim 14 , comprising a heating system surrounding the chamber.

22 . The device as claimed in claim 14 , comprising a heating system between the chamber and the extraction head.

23 . The device as claimed in claim 14 , wherein the chamber has a substantially cylindrical shape.
