Abstract

The present disclosure includes various brackets and systems for forming tiled transitions between surfaces. One bracket embodiment for forming a tiled transition between a first surface and a second surface forming an inside corner includes a first base portion securable to the first surface, a second base portion securable to the second surface, a receiving slot angled with respect to the first and second surfaces for receiving a tile strip to form the tiled transition, and a channel for receiving a filler material adjacent to the receiving slot.

1 . A bracket for forming a tiled transition between a first surface and a second surface, the first and second surfaces forming an inside corner, comprising:
 a first base portion securable to the first surface;   a second base portion securable to the second surface;   a receiving slot angled with respect to the first and second surfaces for receiving a tile strip to form the tiled transition; and   a channel adjacent to the receiving slot, the channel for receiving a filler material.   
   
   
       2 . The bracket of  claim 1 , wherein the channel is parallel to the receiving slot. 
   
   
       3 . The bracket of  claim 1 , wherein the bracket is formed of a first material and at least a portion of the channel is formed of a different material. 
   
   
       4 . The bracket of  claim 3 , wherein the different material is a more flexible material than the first material. 
   
   
       5 . The bracket of  claim 4 , wherein the different material is an elastomeric material. 
   
   
       6 . The bracket of  claim 5 , wherein the first material is a rigid plastic material. 
   
   
       7 . The bracket of  claim 6 , wherein the different material is alcryn. 
   
   
       8 . The bracket of  claim 1 , wherein the bracket includes a first end and a second end, at least one the first and second ends including a connector portion to mate with a bracket connector. 
   
   
       9 . The bracket of  claim 8 , wherein the connector portion is a hollow portion formed through the bracket from the first end to the second end. 
   
   
       10 . A tiled transition bracket connector, comprising:
 a first end sized to connect with an end of a first bracket having a tile receiving slot for forming a first tiled transition between a first surface and a second surface; and   a second end sized to connect with an end of a second bracket having a tile receiving slot for forming a second tiled transition.   
   
   
       11 . The connector of  claim 10 , wherein the first end includes a male connector to be received by the end of at least one of the first and second bracket. 
   
   
       12 . The connector of  claim 11 , wherein the second end includes a male connector to be received by the end of at least one of the first and second bracket. 
   
   
       13 . The connector of  claim 10 , wherein the first end and the second end of the connector are perpendicular to each other. 
   
   
       14 . The connector of  claim 13 , wherein the connector is to be secured to the first surface, the second surface, and a third surface at an intersection of the first, second, and third surfaces. 
   
   
       15 . The connector of  claim 10 , wherein the connector includes a tile receiving slot. 
   
   
       16 . The connector of  claim 10 , wherein the connector includes a first tile receiving slot and a second tile receiving slot formed therein for forming a miter joint between a first tile strip secured in the first tile receiving slot and a second tile strip secured in the second tile receiving slot. 
   
   
       17 . The connector of  claim 16 , wherein the connector forms an outside corner. 
   
   
       18 . The connector of  claim 10 , wherein the first and second surfaces are wall surfaces. 
   
   
       19 . A tiled transition bracket system, comprising:
 a first bracket for forming a tiled transition between a first surface and a second surface, the first and second surfaces forming an inside corner, wherein the first bracket includes a tile receiving slot to receive a tile strip angled with respect to the first and second surfaces; and   a bracket connector having a first end that includes a first connector portion sized to connect with an end of the first bracket and a second end that includes a second connector portion sized to connect with an end of a second bracket.   
   
   
       20 . The system of  claim 19 , wherein the second bracket includes a tile receiving slot to receive a tile strip angled with respect to the first and second surfaces. 
   
   
       21 . The system of  claim 19 , wherein the first connector portion is a male connector portion to be received by the end of the first bracket and the second connector portion is a male connector portion to be received by the end of the second bracket. 
   
   
       22 . The system of  claim 19 , wherein the bracket connector includes:
 a first base portion securable to the first surface;   a second base portion securable to the second surface; and   a third base portion securable to a third surface.   
   
   
       23 . The system of  claim 22 , wherein the bracket connector includes a tile receiving slot angled with respect to the first and the second surface. 
   
   
       24 . The system of  claim 22 , wherein the first surface is a first wall surface and the third surface is a second wall surface. 
   
   
       25 . The system of  claim 24 , wherein the first wall surface and the second wall surface form an outside corner. 
   
   
       26 . The system of  claim 22 , wherein the system includes a third bracket for forming a tiled transition between the first surface and the third surface, the third bracket including a tile receiving slot to receive a tile strip angled with respect to the first and third surfaces. 
   
   
       27 . The system of  claim 19 , wherein the system includes an end cap having a male connector portion for mating with at least one end of at least one of the first and the second bracket.
