Abstract
A structural hanger is described for attaching a structural member to a concrete wall. The hanger has a portion that is embedded into the concrete wall and an exposed portion configured with one or more through-holes for attachment of a structural member to the structural hanger using carriage bolts or the like. In one embodiment the exposed portion is angled flush with a wall face for attachment of a ledger to the hanger. In another embodiment the exposed portion extends perpendicular to a wall face for attachment of a joist to the hanger.
Claims

A structural hanger comprising a structural plate having an embedded portion configured for embedment in a concrete wall and an exposed portion configured with a mounting surface containing one or more through-holes configured to receive fasteners enabling attachment of a structural member to the hanger.
2 . A structural hanger according to claim 1 , wherein the holes are square in shape for attachment of a structural member to the structural hanger using carriage bolt(s).
3 . A structural hanger according to claim 1 , wherein the through-holes are configured to allow connection of one or more fasteners in a manner similar to that of carriage bolts.
4 . A structural hanger according to claim 1 , wherein the exposed portion is angled to be substantially flush to a face of the wall for attachment of ledgers.
5 . A structural hanger according to claim 1 , wherein the exposed portion is perpendicular to a face of the wall for attachment of joists.
6 . A structural hanger for embedment into a concrete wall comprising a structural plate formed in a manner to provide an embedded portion and an external portion angled substantially flush to a face of the wall, with the external portion containing one or more square-shaped through-holes for attachment of a ledger using carriage bolts.
7 . A structural hanger for embedment into a concrete wall comprising a structural plate formed in a manner to provide an embedded portion and an external portion containing one or more square-shaped through-holes for attachment of a joist using carriage bolts.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
