Adaptor having exchangeable holder to connect with different types of digital cameras

Abstract

An adapter for different models of digital cameras includes a universal base for supplying a battery of the digital camera with electric power and for taking out digital images from a memory of the digital camera and an exchangeable holder mounted on the universal base. The exchangeable holder is shaped to be fitted for a specific one of the different models of digital cameras and also standardized for mounting on the universal base.

1 . A system for charging a battery of, and for taking-out digital images from a memory of, different models of digital cameras, the system comprising:
 a universal base for supplying the battery with electric power and for taking out the digital images from the memory of a digital camera when the digital camera is coupled to the system, the universal base printing the digital images by a printer built into the universal base, the universal base including an indicator that indicates a print state of the printing performed by the printer; and   an exchangeable holder removably mounted on the universal base, the exchangeable holder being shaped to be fitted to a surface that is not a surface with a maximum area of a specific one of the different models of digital cameras and also standardized for being mounted on the universal base.   
   
   
       2 . The system according to  claim 1 , wherein the exchangeable holder is a tray having an upper portion shaped to be fitted to a lower portion of the specific model of digital camera. 
   
   
       3 . The system according to  claim 2 , wherein the exchangeable holder has a standardized coupler that attaches with the universal base.

The system according to  claim 3 , further comprising a first electric connector to supply the battery with electric power and a second electric connector to take out the digital images from the memory, the first and the second connectors being designed to come into contact with the digital camera when the digital camera is laid on the tray. 
   
   
       5 . The system according to  claim 4 , wherein the first and second connectors are located at the tray, and wherein the universal base includes a third standardized electric connector to supply the battery with electric power through the first connector and a fourth standardized electric connector to take out the digital images from the memory through the second electric connector.

The system according to  claim 3 , further comprising a first standardized electric connector to supply the battery with electric power and a second standardized electric connector to take out the digital images from the memory, the first and second standardized connectors are located at the universal base for a standardized coupling with the exchangeable holder. 
   
   
       7 . The system according to  claim 3 , wherein the universal base leads to a power line. 
   
   
       8 . The system according to  claim 3 , wherein the universal base leads to a signal line. 
   
   
       9 . The system according to  claim 1 , wherein all different models of digital cameras that use the universal base have a specified exchangeable holder. 
   
   
       10 . A system for charging a battery of, and for taking-out digital images from a memory of, first and second models of digital cameras, the system comprising:
 a universal base for supplying the battery with electric power and for taking out the digital images from the memory of either one of the first and second models of digital cameras when the system is coupled to one of the first and second models of digital cameras, the universal base printing the digital images by a printer built into the universal base, the universal base including an indicator that indicates a print state of the printing performed by the printer;   a first exchangeable holder removably mountable on the universal base, the first exchangeable holder being shaped to be fitted to a surface that is not a surface with a maximum area of the first model of digital camera and also standardized for being mounted on the universal base; and   a second exchangeable holder removably mountable on the universal base in place of the first exchangeable holder, the second exchangeable holder being shaped to be fitted to a surface that is not a surface with a maximum area of the second model of digital camera and also standardized for being mounted on the universal base.   
   
   
       11 . The system according to  claim 10 , wherein the universal base is selectively couplable with either of the first and second exchangeable holders. 
   
   
       12 . The system according to  claim 11 , wherein the universal base includes a space for containing either of the first and second exchangeable holders, one of the first and second exchangeable holders being coupled with the universal base at a bottom of the space. 
   
   
       13 . The system according to  claim 10 , wherein all different models of digital cameras that use the universal base have a specified exchangeable holder. 
   
   
       14 . A holder system for first and second models of digital cameras each having a memory, the holder system comprising:
 a first holder on which the first model of digital camera is to be laid down for taking out digital images in the memory of the first model of digital camera, the first holder being shaped to be fitted to a surface of the first model of digital camera that is not a surface with a maximum area of the first model of digital camera;   a second holder on which the second model of digital camera is to be laid down for taking out digital images in the memory of the second model of digital camera, the second holder being shaped to be fitted to a surface of the second model of digital camera that is not a surface with a maximum area of the second model of digital camera; and   a digital image storage for selectively communicating with one of the first and second models of digital cameras when the one of the first and second models of digital cameras is coupled to the digital image storage using one of the first and second holders, wherein the digital image storage includes a storage medium that stores the taken out digital images, and a function unit having a program for taking out the digital images, the program being used when taking out the digital images in the first and second models of digital cameras, the digital image storage printing the digital images by a printer built into the digital image storage, the digital image storage including an indicator that indicates a print state of the printing performed by the printer.
