Abstract

Disclosed herein is an exercise chair. The exercise chair includes a body frame, a seat, a rear frame, shaft gears, a seat back, connection bars, a plurality of elastic members, and a locking means. The seat is placed on the body frame. The rear frame is formed behind the body frame. The shaft gears are shafted inside the rear frame. The seat back is configured such that a plurality of acupressure means is mounted on one surface of the seat back. The connection bars are inserted into one end of the seat back and are coupled with the circumferential surface of the shaft gear. The elastic members are coupled to the respective sides of the shaft gears to elastically bias the seat back to a vertical orientation. The locking means is configured to lock the corresponding shaft gear in response to the operation of a locking lever.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An exercise chair, comprising:
a body frame; a seat placed on the body frame; a rear frame formed behind the body frame; shaft gears shafted inside the rear frame; a seat back configured such that a plurality of acupressure means is mounted on one surface of the seat back; connection bars inserted into one end of the seat back and coupled with a circumferential surface of the shaft gear; a plurality of elastic members coupled to respective sides of the shaft gears to elastically bias the seat back to a vertical orientation; and locking means formed between the rear frame and one of the shaft gears and configured to lock the corresponding shaft gear in response to operation of a locking lever.

2 . The exercise chair as set forth in claim 1 , wherein a pair of first and second ratchets, each of which is formed in a streamlined shape to surround one side of the corresponding shaft gear, is coupled to a plate, on which the shaft gear is mounted, around hinge shafts so as to be able to rotate within a predetermined angle range, a plurality of locking gears, which are configured to be engaged with the shaft gear, is formed to protrude from respective sides of the first and second ratchets, a first engaging part and a second engaging part are formed to protrude from actuation ends of the first and second ratchets and to be opposite each other, a spring is connected between ends of the first and second engaging parts, and an actuation cam is located in a space between the first and second engaging parts to be coupled with an end of a shaft of the locking lever, so that a locking or unlocking operation is performed in such a way that the actuation cam causes the first and second engaging parts to be pushed according to rotation of the actuation cam, and thus the first and second ratchets are simultaneously actuated.

3 . The exercise chair as set forth in claim 2 , wherein:
the actuation cam comprises a first cam protrusion for pushing the first engaging part and a second cam protrusion for pushing the second engaging part, the first and second cam protrusions being formed opposite each other, and the first and second engaging parts have engaging depressions on respective sides thereof to be engaged with the first and second cam protrusions when the actuation cam rotates in a direction unlocking the ratchets.

4 . The exercise chair as set forth in claim 1 , wherein the acupressure means is configured such that a plurality of acupressure members, made of any of a gemstone material, a magnetic material, a wood material and a metal material, is attached to one surface of the seat back, and covers are put on respective acupressure members so as to surround the acupressure members.

5 . The exercise chair as set forth in claim 1 , wherein the acupressure means is configured such that roller housings are formed in one surface of the seat back, acupressure rollers are shafted to the respective roller housings, and a plurality of protrusions, made of gemstones or magnets, is formed to protrude from a circumferential surface of each acupressure roller.
