Abstract

The present invention provides body-shaping apparel designed to lift and support the lower portion of a person's buttocks relative to the top of the person's thighs that include a pair of loop straps that are dimensioned to encircle and engage the top of a person's thigh at the juncture of the thigh and buttock and to lift and support a buttock upwardly relative to the top of the person's thigh.

1 . An apparatus for asserting a force to the circumference of the upper portion of a leg to encourage a desired shaping of the buttocks, the apparatus comprising:
 a first continuous elasticized band having an upper edge, a lower edge, an outer surface and an inner surface;   a second continuous elasticized band having an upper edge, a lower edge, an outer surface and an inner surface;   a continuous elasticized tube having an upper edge, a lower edge, an outer surface and an inner surface;   the upper edge of the continuous elasticized tube adjoining the lower edge of the first continuous elasticized band; and   the lower edge of the continuous elasticized tube adjoining the upper edge of the second continuous elasticized band.   
   
   
       2 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the compression of the first continuous elasticized band is greater than the compression of the continuous elasticized tube. 
   
   
       3 . The apparatus of  claim 2 , wherein the compression of the second continuous elasticized band is greater than the compression of the continuous elasticized tube. 
   
   
       4 . The apparatus of  claim 2 , wherein a tacky substance is adhered to the inner surface of the first continuous elasticized band. 
   
   
       5 . The apparatus of  claim 4 , wherein the tacky substance includes a silicon material. 
   
   
       6 . The apparatus of  claim 4 , wherein the tacky substance includes two bands of a silicon-based material that extend completely around the inner surface of the first continuous elasticized band and include a space between each band. 
   
   
       7 . The apparatus of  claim 6 , wherein a tacky substance is adhered to the inner surface of the second continuous elasticized band. 
   
   
       8 . The apparatus of  claim 7 , wherein the continuous elasticized tube is comprised of hosiery material. 
   
   
       9 . The apparatus of  claim 8 , wherein the first continuous elasticized band, the second continuous elasticized band and the continuous elasticized tube are dimensioned to extend just below a subjects' buttocks to above the subjects' knee. 
   
   
       10 . The apparatus of  claim 8 , wherein the first continuous elasticized band, the second continuous elasticized band and the continuous elasticized tube are dimensioned to extend just below a subjects' buttocks to above the subjects' ankle. 
   
   
       11 . An apparatus for asserting a force to the circumference of the upper portion of a leg to encourage a desired shaping of the buttocks, the apparatus comprising:
 a first elasticized band having an upper edge, a lower edge, an outer surface and an inner surface, and wherein a tacky substance is adhered to the inner surface of the first elasticized band;   a elasticized tube having an upper edge, a lower edge, an outer surface and an inner surface;   the upper edge of the elasticized tube adjoining proximate to the lower edge of the first elasticized band and the compression of the first elasticized band is greater than the compression of the elasticized tube.   
   
   
       12 . The apparatus of  claim 11 , wherein the tacky substance includes a silicon material. 
   
   
       13 . The apparatus of  claim 11 , wherein the tacky substance includes two bands of a silicon-based material that extend completely around the inner surface of the first elasticized band and include a space between each band. 
   
   
       14 . The apparatus of  claim 11 , wherein the elasticized tube is comprised of hosiery material. 
   
   
       15 . The apparatus of  claim 11 , wherein the elasticized tube is comprised of a spandex material. 
   
   
       16 . The apparatus of  claim 11 , wherein the tacky substance includes two bands of a silicon-based material that extend completely around the inner surface of the first elasticized band and include a space between each band and the first elasticized band and the continuous elasticized tube are dimensioned to extend just below a subjects' buttocks to above the subjects' knee. 
   
   
       17 . The apparatus of  claim 11 , wherein the tacky substance includes two bands of a silicon-based material that extend completely around the inner surface of the first elasticized band and include a space between each band and the first elasticized band and further comprising a second elasticized band that is adjoined proximate to the lower edge of the elasticized tube. 
   
   
       18 . An apparatus for asserting a force to the circumference of the upper portion of a leg to encourage a desired shaping of the buttocks, the apparatus comprising:
 an elasticized band having an upper edge, a lower edge, an outer surface and an inner surface, and wherein two bands of a silicon-based material are adhered to and extend completely around the inner surface of the elasticized band with a space between each silicon-based band;   a elasticized tube having an upper edge, a lower edge, an outer surface and an inner surface the upper edge of the elasticized tube adjoining proximate to the lower edge of the first elasticized band and the compression of the elasticized band is greater than the compression of the elasticized tube; and   a cuff adjoined proximate to the lower edge of the elasticized tube, the cuff having a compression that is greater than the compression of the elasticized tube.   
   
   
       19 . The apparatus of  claim 18 , wherein the elasticized band has a width ranging from 4 to 6 centimeters. 
   
   
       20 . The apparatus of  claim 18 , wherein the elasticized band has a width of approximately 5.5 centimeters.
