. A method for treating a head banging disorder in a patient in need thereof, the method comprising a step of local administration of a botulinum toxin to forehead muscles the patient, thereby treating the head banging disorder.
. The method of claim 10 , wherein the botulinum toxin is selected from the group consisting of botulinum toxin types A, B, C, D, E and G.
. The method of claim 10 , wherein the botulinum toxin is botulinum toxin type A.
. The method of claim 10 , wherein the botulinum toxin is administered in administered in an amount of between about 1 unit and about 1500 units.
. The method of claim 10 , wherein the head banging disorder is treated for between about 1 month to about 5 years.
. A method for treating a head banging disorder in a patient in need thereof, the method comprising a step of local administration of at least one botulinum toxin selected from the group consisting of botulinum toxin type A, B, C, D, E, F and G, to a forehead muscle of the patient, thereby treating the head banging disorder.
. The method of claim 15 , wherein the local administration is by intramuscular injection.
. The method of claim 16 , wherein the botulinum toxin is type A and is administered at doses of between about 1 unit and about 125 units per injection site.
. The method of claim 16 , wherein the botulinum toxin is type B and is administered at doses of between about 40 units and about 1500 units per injection site.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
