Abstract
An electrician's caddy useful for conveyance and dispensing of wire wound on wire spools.

43 . A method of making an electrician's caddy, comprising the steps of:
a. providing at least one well having a pair of opposed walls and a well surface configured to receive a wire spool; b. providing an axle having a pair of ends each of which correspondingly engage one of said pair of opposed walls to provide an axis about which said wire spool rotates, and wherein said axis of said axle has a location in said at least one well which maintains a distance between each of a pair of spool ends and said well surface of less than a diameter of said wire wound on said wire spool which maintains said wire between said pair of spool ends; c. releasably securing a cover to said well to retain said wire spool in said at least one well; d. providing an aperture which communicates between opposed surfaces of said cover configured to allow a wire wound on said wire spool to be drawn through said aperture from inside said well.

53 . A method of making an electrician's caddy as described in claim 43 , further comprising the step of connecting each of a pair of closed end channels to a corresponding one of said pair of opposed walls of said at least one well.

64 . A method of making an electrician's caddy as described in claim 63 , further comprising the step of providing a plurality of cover relief elements, and wherein one each of said plurality of cover relief elements inserts into a corresponding one each of said plurality of wells.
65 . A method of making an electrician's caddy as described in claim 64 , further comprising the steps of providing a bottom portion and locating said plurality of wells in said bottom portion.
66 . A method of making an electrician's caddy as described in claim 65 , further comprising the step of providing an axis about which said cover rotates to releasably secure said cover to said plurality of wells in said bottom portion.
67 . A method of making an electrician's caddy as described in claim 66 , further comprising the step of providing a plurality of cover relief elements each of which insert in a corresponding one each of said plurality of wells.
68 . A method of making an electrician's caddy as described in claim 67 , further comprising the step of providing a top portion which rotatably releasably secures to said bottom portion.
69 . A method of making an electrician's caddy as described in claim 68 , further comprising the steps of providing at least one pocket located in said bottom portion, and providing at least one top portion relief element which inserts in said at least one pocket upon releasably securing said top portion to said bottom portion.
70 . A method of making an electrician's caddy as described in claim 69 , further comprising the steps of providing at least one recessed element coupled to said top portion, and configuring said at least one recessed element to receive at least one tool.
71 . A method of making an electrician's caddy as described in claim 70 , further comprising the step of rotatably coupling a plurality of wheels to said bottom portion.
72 . A method of making an electrician's caddy as described in claim 71 , further comprising the steps of coupling a first handle to an end wall of said bottom portion.

74 . A method of drawing a wire, comprising the steps of:
a. inserting an axle through a wire spool on which a wire is wound between a pair of spool ends; b. locating said axle about which said wire spool rotates in a well having a pair of opposed walls and a well surface configured to receive said wire spool, and wherein said axis of said axle has a location in said well which maintains a distance between each of a pair of spool ends and said well surface of less than a diameter of said wire wound on said wire spool which maintains said wire between said pair of spool ends; c. releasably securing a cover to said well, wherein said cover provides an aperture which communicates between opposed surfaces of said cover; and d. drawing said wire wound on said wire spool through said aperture which communicates between opposed surfaces of said cover.

A method of drawing a wire as describe in claim 74 , wherein said step of locating said axle about which said wire spool rotates in a well further comprises the step of sliding each end of said axle in a corresponding one each of a pair of closed end channel disposed on opposing walls of said well.

A method of drawing a wire as describe in claim 75 , wherein said step of sliding each end of said axle in a corresponding one each of a pair of closed end channel disposed on opposing walls of said well further comprises the step of urging each end of said axle past at least one detent disposed in each of said pair of closed end channels.

A method of drawing a wire as describe in claim 76 , wherein said step of forcibly urging each end of said axle past at least one detent disposed in each of said pair of closed end channels comprises forcibly urging each end of said axle past a pair of opposed detents disposed in each of said pair of closed end channels.

A method of drawing a wire as describe in claim 77 , wherein said step of forcibly urging each end of said axle past at least one detent disposed in each said pair of closed end channels further comprises generating flexure in a wall of each of said closed end channel responsive to said at least one detent.
79 . A method of drawing a wire as describe in claim 78 , wherein said step of drawing said wire wound on said wire spool through said aperture which communicates between opposed surfaces of said cover comprises the step of drawing a plurality of wires wound on a plurality of wire spools located in a plurality of wells through a plurality of apertures each of which communicate between opposed surfaces of said cover.
