Abstract

A pushpin bulletin board with a decorative surface to look like a framed artwork. The pushpin bulletin board includes a panel of fiberboard having an upper surface and an embossed vinyl canvas sheet adhered to the upper surface of the fiberboard panel. A painting is applied to the embossed vinyl canvas sheet by a solvent inkjet printer to provide a painting having texture and a 3-dimensional appearance for forming a decorative surface. The pushpin bulletin board also includes a frame surrounding the painting to provide the appearance of a framed piece of artwork, such as a three-dimensional oil painting.

1 . A pushpin bulletin board with a decorative surface to look like a framed artwork, comprising:
 a) a panel of fiberboard having an upper surface;   b) an embossed vinyl canvas sheet adhered to said upper surface of said fiberboard panel;   c) a painting applied to said embossed vinyl canvas sheet by a solvent inkjet printer to provide a painting having texture and a 3-dimensional appearance for forming a decorative surface; and   d) a frame surrounding said painting to provide the appearance of a framed piece of artwork, such as a 3-dimensional oil painting.   
   
   
       2 . A pushpin bulletin board in accordance with  claim 1 , wherein said embossed vinyl canvas sheet is adhered to said upper surface of said fiberboard panel by adhesives, glue, hot melt glues or contact cement. 
   
   
       3 . A pushpin bulletin board in accordance with  claim 1 , wherein said decorative surface is in the form of a textured printed picture being a 3-dimensional painting, map, portrait, or pattern. 
   
   
       4 . A pushpin bulletin board in accordance with  claim 1 , wherein said painted vinyl canvas sheet and said fiberboard panel are held in said frame by framing tape. 
   
   
       5 . A pushpin bulletin board in accordance with  claim 1 , wherein said pushpin bulletin board has the shape of a rectangle, a square, an oval, a circle or other geometric shapes. 
   
   
       6 . A pushpin bulletin board in accordance with  claim 1 , wherein said solvent inkjet printer provides a multi-colored painting on said embossed vinyl canvas sheet using multi-colored inks from an inkjet cartridge. 
   
   
       7 . A pushpin bulletin board in accordance with  claim 6 , wherein said multi-colored inks are received within the crevices of said painted embossed vinyl canvas sheet in order to provide a 3-dimensional decorative and textured surface to minimize the pinhole markings of pushpins after they are removed from said painted embossed vinyl canvas sheet of said pushpin bulletin board. 
   
   
       8 . A pushpin bulletin board with a decorative surface to look like a framed artwork, comprising:
 a) a panel of corrugated board or foamcore board having an upper surface;   b) an embossed vinyl canvas sheet adhered to said upper surface of said board;   c) a painting applied to said embossed vinyl canvas sheet by a printer to provide a painting having texture and a 3-dimensional appearance for forming a decorative surface; and   d) a frame surrounding said painting to provide the appearance of a framed piece of artwork, such as a 3-dimensional oil painting.   
   
   
       9 . A pushpin bulletin board in accordance with  claim 8 , wherein said embossed vinyl canvas sheet is adhered to said upper surface of said board by adhesives, glue, hot melt glues or contact cement. 
   
   
       10 . A pushpin bulletin board in accordance with  claim 9 , wherein said decorative surface is in the form of a textured printed picture being a 3-dimensional painting, map, portrait, or pattern. 
   
   
       11 . A pushpin bulletin board with a decorative surface to look like a framed artwork, comprising:
 a) a panel or board having an upper surface;   b) an embossed plastic sheet adhered to said upper surface of said board;   c) a painting applied to said embossed plastic sheet by a printer to provide a painting having texture and a 3-dimensional appearance for forming a decorative surface; and   d) a frame surrounding said painting to provide the appearance of a framed piece of artwork, such as a 3-dimensional oil painting.   
   
   
       12 . A pushpin bulletin board in accordance with  claim 11 , wherein said plastic sheet is adhered to said upper surface of said fiberboard panel by adhesives, glue, hot melt glues or contact cement. 
   
   
       13 . A pushpin bulletin board in accordance with  claim 1   1 , wherein said plastic sheet is selected from the group consisting of vinyl, polyvinylchloride (PVC), polyethylene (PE), polyvinylidene (PVDC) and polypropylene (PP). 
   
   
       14 . A pushpin bulletin board in accordance with  claim 11 , wherein said pushpin bulletin board has the shape of a rectangle, a square, an oval, a circle or other geometric shapes. 
   
   
       15 . A pushpin bulletin board in accordance with  claim 11 , wherein said printer provides a multi-colored painting on said embossed plastic sheet using multi-colored inks from an inkjet cartridge. 
   
   
       16 . A pushpin bulletin board in accordance with  claim 15 , wherein said multi-colored inks are received within the crevices of said embossed plastic sheet in order to provide a 3-dimensional decorative and textured surface to minimize the pinhole markings of pushpins after they are removed from said embossed plastic sheet of said pushpin bulletin board.
