Abstract

TIRAP polypeptides and polynucleotides and methods for producing such polypeptides by recombinant techniques are disclosed. Also disclosed are methods for utilizing TIRAP polypeptides and polynucleotides in therapy, and diagnostic assays for such.

         56 . An expression vector comprising a polynucleotide that encodes a Toll/Interleukin-1 Receptor Adapter Protein having at least 95% identity to SEQ ID NO: 4.  
     
     
         57 . The expression vector of  claim 56 , wherein the Toll/Interleukin-1 Receptor Adapter Protein is SEQ ID NO: 4.  
     
     
         58 . The expression vector of  claim 56 , wherein the polynucleotide has at least 95% identity to SEQ ID NO: 2.  
     
     
         59 . A cell comprising an expression vector that includes a polynucleotide that encodes a Toll/Interleukin-1 Receptor Adapter Protein having at least 95% identity to SEQ ID NO: 4.  
     
     
         60 . The cell of  claim 59 , wherein the Toll/Interleukin-1 Receptor Adapter Protein is SEQ ID NO: 4.  
     
     
         61 . The cell of  claim 59 , wherein the polynucleotide has at least 95% identity to SEQ ID NO: 2.  
     
     
         62 . A method of making a Toll/Interleukin-1 Receptor Adapter Protein, comprising the steps of: 
 (a) culturing a cell comprising an expression vector that includes a polynucleotide that encodes a Toll/Interleukin-1 Receptor Adapter Protein having at least 95% identity to SEQ ID NO: 4; and    (b) isolating the Toll/Interleukin-1 Receptor Adapter Protein.    
     
     
         63 . The method of  claim 62 , wherein the Toll/Interleukin-1 Receptor Adaptor Protein is SEQ ID NO: 4.  
     
     
         64 . The method of  claim 62 , wherein the polynucleotide has at least 95% identity to SEQ ID NO: 2.  
     
     
         65 . The method of  claim 62 , wherein the cell is a eukaryotic cell.  
     
     
         66 . The method of  claim 62 , wherein the cell is a prokaryotic cell.
