Customizable wrapper

Abstract

A customizable wrapper for a product, such as a candy bar, including a wrapper assembly having a pair of removable edges. A face sheet of the wrapper assembly includes a printable surface and an integrated wrapper sized to cover the product on both a front and back. A back sheet of the wrapper assembly includes a removable portion at least partially overlaying the wrapper, the removable portion removable to expose an adhesive surface along the wrapper. The customized wrapper is then wrapped around the product and adhered along the exposed adhesive.

1 . A customizable wrapper for a product comprising:
 a wrapper assembly having a pair of removable edges;   a face sheet of the wrapper assembly having a printable surface including a wrapper sized to cover the product on both a front and back; and   a back sheet of the wrapper assembly having a removable portion at least partially overlaying the wrapper, the removable portion removable to expose an adhesive surface along the wrapper.   
     
     
         2 . The customizable wrapper of  claim 1  wherein the removable portion extends around a perimeter of the wrapper. 
     
     
         3 . The customizable wrapper of  claim 1  wherein the removable edges are removable to define a size of the wrapper. 
     
     
         4 . The customizable wrapper of  claim 1  further comprising:
 at least one line of weakness extending through the wrapper assembly to define two or more wrappers within the wrapper assembly.   
     
     
         5 . The customizable wrapper of  claim 1  wherein the product is a candy bar. 
     
     
         6 . The customizable wrapper of  claim 1  wherein the removable portion overlays the entire wrapper and the adhesive surface only partially coats the wrapper. 
     
     
         7 . The customizable wrapper of  claim 1  further comprising:
 two removable portions overlaying parallel strips of the wrapper, the two removable portions removable to expose corresponding strips of adhesive along the wrapper.   
     
     
         8 . The customizable wrapper of  claim 1  wherein the wrapper assembly is dimensioned to pass through a printer prior to removal of the removable edges. 
     
     
         9 . A customizable wrapper for a candy bar comprising:
 a wrapper assembly having a pair of removable edges;   a face sheet of the wrapper assembly having a printable surface including a wrapper sized to cover a front and back of the candy bar; and   a back sheet of the wrapper assembly having a removable portion at least partially overlaying the wrapper, the removable portion removable to expose an adhesive surface along at least one edge of the wrapper.   
     
     
         10 . The customizable wrapper of  claim 9  further comprising:
 at least one line of weakness extending through the wrapper assembly to define two or more wrappers within the wrapper assembly.   
     
     
         11 . The customizable wrapper of  claim 9  wherein the removable portion overlays the entire wrapper and the adhesive surface only partially coats the wrapper. 
     
     
         12 . The customizable wrapper of  claim 9  further comprising:
 two removable portions overlaying parallel strips of the wrapper, the two removable portions removable to expose corresponding strips of adhesive along the wrapper.   
     
     
         13 . A method of customizing a wrapper of a product comprising the steps of:
 feeding a wrapper assembly having a front sheet with a printable surface and a back sheet into a printer;   printing a custom graphic on a wrapper portion of front sheet of the wrapper assembly;   removing a pair of removable edges from the wrapper assembly;   removing a removable portion of the back sheet from the wrapper assembly, the removable portion at least partially overlaying the wrapper portion on the front sheet, to expose an adhesive surface along at least one edge of the wrapper;   wrapping the product within the wrapper and adhering the wrapper to cover a front and back of the product.
