Control method and system in a communication system
Abstract
A control method in a communication system. In the control method, a Base Station (BS) detects a service type of data to be transmitted to a Mobile Station (MS), and broadcasts to the MS a message including service information corresponding to the detected service type. The MS recognizes a service type of data to be transmitted to the MS itself depending on the service information included in the message, previously activates an application program provided for processing the transmission data according to the recognized service type, and receives the data through use of the application program.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A control method in a communication system, the method comprising:
detecting, by a Base Station (BS), a service type of data to be transmitted to a Mobile Station (MS), and broadcasting to the MS a message including service information corresponding to the detected service type; and recognizing, by the MS, a service type of data to be transmitted to the MS itself depending on the service information included in the message, previously activating an application program provided for processing the transmission data according to the recognized service type, and receiving the data through use of the application program.
2 . The control method of claim 1 , wherein the activating of an application program comprises:
activating an application program corresponding to the recognized service type among multiple application programs.
3 . The control method of claim 1 , wherein the message is a Mobile_Paging-Advertisement (MOB_PAG-ADV) message.
4 . The control method of claim 1 , wherein the activating of an application program comprises:
connecting to the BS a data transmission/reception channel corresponding to the recognized service type.
5 . The control method of claim 1 , wherein the service type of the transmission data is at least one of a voice service, an image service, a video service, an audio service, and an Instant Messaging (IM) service.
6 . A control system in a communication system, the control system comprising:
a base station (BS) for detecting a service type of data to be transmitted to a mobile station (MS), and broadcasting to the MS a message including service information corresponding to the detected service type; and the MS for recognizing a service type of data to be transmitted to the MS itself depending on the service information included in the message, previously activating an application program provided for processing the transmission data according to the recognized service type, and receiving the data through use of the application program.
7 . The control system of claim 6 , wherein the MS activates an application program corresponding to the recognized service type among multiple application programs.
8 . The control system of claim 6 , wherein the message is a Mobile_Paging-Advertisement (MOB_PAG-ADV) message.
9 . The control system of claim 6 , wherein the MS connects to the BS a data transmission/reception channel corresponding to the recognized service type.
10 . The control system of claim 6 , wherein the service type of the transmission data is at least one of a voice service, an image service, a video service, an audio service, and an Instant Messaging (IM) service.
11 . A control method of a mobile station (MS) in a communication system, the method comprising:
receiving data while activating a communication module by supplying power to the communication module provided for data transmission/reception; and performing data exchange with an MS-assistant device interacting with the MS when the received data is voice data.
12 . The control method of claim 11 , further comprising:
upon receipt of data, determining whether a display module is enabled upon receipt of data; activating the display module by supplying power to the display module when if it is determined that the display module is not enabled; displaying a message corresponding to the received data on the display module; detecting user input information corresponding to the message through use of an input module; and performing data exchange with an MS-assistant device interacting with the MS upon detecting the user input information.
13 . The control method of claim 12 , further comprising:
upon failure to detect the user input information, interrupting the power supply to the display module.
14 . The control method of claim 11 , wherein the data is included in a paging message.
15 . The control method of claim 12 , wherein the displaying of a message comprises:
displaying the message by means of at least one of a main display module and a sub-display module.
16 . The control method of claim 12 , wherein the message is a message indicating receipt of voice data.
17 . A control system in a communication system, the control system comprising:
a Mobile Station (MS) including:
a communication module for data transmission/reception;
an input module for receiving user input information;
a display module for displaying a message corresponding to received data;
a plurality of application modules provided individually for application programs;
a power supply module for supplying power to the modules; and
a controller for, upon receipt of data while activating the communication module by supplying power to the communication module, determining whether the display module is enabled, and when it is determined that the display module is not enabled, activating the display module by supplying power to the display module, displaying a message corresponding to the received data on the display module, detecting user input information corresponding to the message through use of the input module, and activating application modules corresponding to the received data.
18 . The control system of claim 17 , wherein the data is included in a paging message.
19 . The control system of claim 17 , wherein upon failure to detect the user input information, the controller interrupts the power supply to the display module.
20 . The control system of claim 17 , wherein the application modules include all modules included in the MS except for the communication module and the display module.
21 . A control system in a communication system, the control system comprising:
a Base Station (BS); a Mobile Station (MS); and an MS-assistant device for exchanging voice data via the MS; the MS including:
a communication module for data transmission/reception;
an input module for receiving user input information;
a display module for displaying a message corresponding to received data;
a power supply module for supplying power to respective modules;
a transmission/reception module for communicating with the MS-assistant device; and
a controller for receiving data while activating the communication module by supplying power to the communication module, and performing data exchange with the MS-assistant device when the received data is voice data.
22 . The control system of claim 21 , wherein upon receipt of data, the controller determines whether the display module is enabled, and when it is determined that the display module is not enabled, activates the display module by supplying power to the display module, displays a message corresponding to the received data on the display module, detects user input information corresponding to the message through use of the input module, and performs data exchange with the MS-assistant device upon detecting the user input information.
23 . The control system of claim 22 , wherein upon failure to detect the user input information, the controller interrupts the power supply to the display module.
24 . The control system of claim 21 , wherein the data is included in a paging message.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
