Bicycle control device
Abstract
A bicycle control device is provided with a control lever, a lever bracket, a main electrical connector, an electrical switch and an auxiliary electrical connector. The lever bracket a bracket body with a bicycle mounting portion and a control lever mounting portion movably supporting the control lever. The main electrical connector is coupled to the lever bracket. The electrical shift switch is electrically connected to the main electrical connector. The auxiliary electrical connector is coupled to the lever bracket and configured to connect an electrical device to the bicycle control device.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A bicycle control device comprising:
a control lever; a lever bracket including a bracket body with a bicycle mounting portion and a control lever mounting portion movably supporting the control lever; a main electrical connector coupled to the lever bracket; an electrical shift switch electrically connected to the main electrical connector; and an auxiliary electrical connector coupled to the lever bracket and configured to connect an electrical device to the bicycle control device.
2 . The bicycle control device according to claim 1 , further comprising
an electrical unit is electrically connected to the electrical shift switch, the main electrical connector and the auxiliary electrical connector via separate electrical wires.
3 . The bicycle control device according to claim 1 , further comprising
an electrical unit is electrically connected to the auxiliary electrical connector.
4 . The bicycle control device according to claim 3 , wherein
the electrical unit is electrically connected between the electrical shift switch and the main electrical connector to transmit electrical signal from the electrical shift switch to the main electrical connector.
5 . The bicycle control device according to claim 1 , wherein
the auxiliary electrical connector is releasably and reattachably coupled to the bracket body.
6 . The bicycle control device according to claim 5 , wherein
the auxiliary electrical connector is coupled to the bracket body via the main electrical connector.
7 . The bicycle control device according to claim 1 , wherein
each of the main electrical connector and the auxiliary electrical connector includes a plurality of electrical contact holes that includes electrical contacts that engage mating contacts via a press-fit.
8 . The bicycle control device according to claim 1 , wherein
the control lever is a cable operated lever that is pivotally mounted to the control lever mounting portion of the bracket body, and the control lever includes a cable attachment structure.
9 . The bicycle control device according to claim 1 , wherein
the control lever is configured and arranged as a shift lever for controlling gear change.
10 . The bicycle control device according to claim 1 , wherein
the control lever is configured and arranged as a brake lever for bicycle braking operation.
11 . A bicycle control device comprising:
a control lever; a lever bracket including a bracket body with a bicycle mounting portion and a control lever mounting portion movably supporting the control lever; and an auxiliary electrical connector coupled to the bracket body that is provided as an unused electrical connector for use with an electrical device that is afterward equipped.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
