Abstract

The Miracle Wand features a new household cleaning tool that provides convenience by combining a standard mop and broom into one product, converting from one to another takes only seconds by merely exchanging bases. The wand itself is structured to have a second wand incorporated within to extend to a comfortable length.

       3 . A portable, collapsible, and interchangeable mop and broom combination comprising:
 A telecoping handle means that is movable between a collapsible position and fully extended position;   Means for maintaining said handle means in said collapsed position thereof as well as in said fully extended position thereof;   A mop portion disposed at one end of handle means;   A broom portion disposed at one end of handle means;   
   
   
       4 . An interchangeable mop and broom base according to  claim 3 , wherein said handle means comprising at least first (wand  2 ) and second (wand  1 ) telescoping rod sections, said first rod (wand  2 ) section comprising a transverse pin hole and plurality of vertically spaced pin holes and said second rod (wand  1 ) section comprises a second transverse pin hole, a locking pin adapted to extend through said registering pin holes, said pin holes of first rod (wand  2 ) being longitudinally spaced apart at incremental distances corresponding to incremental distances in vertical height.

An interchangeable mop and broom base according to  claim 4 , wherein said means for maintaining said handle means in position comprises spring-biased pin means disposed in inner ones of said handle section, and cooperating holes disposed in outer ones of said interchangeable mop and broom base. 
   
   
       6 . An interchangeable mop and broom base according to  claim 5 , wherein each of said inner handle sections is provided with a strip spring that urges a pin means of that handle section outwardly.
