Abstract

A novel inbred corn line designated DE811ASR (BC5) and seed, plants and plant cells thereof are disclosed. Corn line DE811ASR (BC5) and its progeny exhibit resistance to Colletotrichum (anthracnose stalk rot) infection.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . Seed of a corn variety designated DE811ASR(BC5), a representative sample of which has been deposited as ATCC accession number PTA-7434.

         2 . A plant produced from the seed of claim 1 .

         3 . A plant cell of the plant of claim 2 .

4 . A progeny seed derived from the seed of claim 1 , in which the progeny seed, when grown, exhibits resistance to Colletotrichum infection.

5 . A plant produced from the progeny seed of claim 4 , in which the plant exhibits resistance to Colletotrichum infection.

         6 . A plant cell of the plant of claim 5 .

7 . A method of producing hybrid seed comprising crossing the plant of claim 2 with a different corn plant, and harvesting the resultant seed.

8 . The method of claim 7 in which the resultant seed produces a plant that exhibits resistance to Colletotrichum infection.

9 . The method of claim 7 in which the different corn plant is a plant of an inbred line.

10 . The method of claim 9 in which the resultant seed produces a plant that exhibits resistance to Colletotrichum infection.

11 . A corn plant produced by the method of claim 8 .

12 . A corn plant produced by the method of claim 10.
