Apparel Item and Method of Making and Using Same

Abstract

A novelty apparel item generally includes a perspiration barrier having a moisture resistant, skin compatible adhesive on one of its surface areas that facilitates attaching the pocket construction to a desired skin area of a user and a water resistant adhesive on opposite one of its surfaces that facilitates securing a pouch to the perspiration barrier, whereby the contents of the pocket remain dry under heavy perpetrating or even submersion under water.

       10 . A method of pocket construction, comprising: 
 providing a pouch wherein said pouch is formed from a cut piece of construction material having a right side containing a desired pattern design and a wrong side which is disposed opposite of said right side; and    wherein said cut piece of construction material is folded to form a hem construction of pocket seams, which hem construction when turned inside out results in the right side of the material facing outwardly with all pocket seams being disposed inside of the Docket:    providing a perspiration barrier having a skin compatible adhesive on one of its surface areas and a water resistant adhesive on opposite one of its surfaces; and    securing said pouch to said perspiration barrier.    
   
   
       11 . The method of pocket construction according to  claim 10 , wherein said step of providing a pouch includes providing a transparent window in an outer wall portion of said pouch to facilitate pouch content viewing purposes.  
   
   
       12 . The method of pocket construction according to  claim 10 , wherein said step of providing a pouch includes providing said pouch with a closure flap.  
   
   
       13 . The method of pocket construction according to  claim 12 , wherein the step of providing a closure flap, including providing a fastener on said flap.  
   
   
       14 . A novelty fashion wear item, comprising: 
 a perspiration barrier;    a waterproof adhesive disposed on one side of said perspiration barrier, wherein said waterproof adhesive is a skin compatible adhesive;    an anchoring adhesive disposed on another side of said perspiration barrier;    a peel sheet disposed on said waterproof adhesive; and    another peel sheet disposed on said anchoring adhesive;    whereby said another peel sheet can be removed by a user for attaching a fashion wear item to said perspiration barrier via said anchoring adhesive; and    whereby said peel sheet can be removed by the user for attaching said fashion wear item and said perspiration barrier to a user selected body part for fashion decoration purposes.    
   
   
       15 . The novelty fashion wear item, according to  claim 14 , wherein said fashion wear item is an open pocket; and 
 wherein said open pocket is formed from a cut piece of construction material having a right side containing a desired pattern design and a wrong side which is disposed opposite of said right side; and    wherein said cut piece of construction material is a folded piece of construction material forming a hem construction of pocket seams, which hem construction when turned inside out results in said open pocket with the right side of the material facing outwardly and with all pocket seams being disposed inside the open pocket to provide a decorated open pocket novelty fashion wear item.    
   
   
       16 . The novelty fashion wear item according to  claim 15 , wherein said pocket includes a closure movable between an open position and a close position.  
   
   
       17 . The novelty fashion wear item according to  claim 16 , wherein said closure is a flap integrally connected to said pocket; and 
 wherein said pocket is formed from a single piece of construction material.    
   
   
       18 . The novelty fashion wear item according to  claim 16 , further comprising: 
 an elongated strip of material extending from a right side portion of said pocket to a left side portion of said pocket for forming a latch to facilitate removably securing said flap in said close position.    
   
   
       19 . The novelty fashion wear item according to  claim 18 , wherein said pocket is an expandable pocket.  
   
   
       20 . The novelty fashion wear item according to  claim 18 , wherein said pocket is a foldable pocket.
