Claims
Abstract
The present invention relates to a skewered food cooking device, and is more particularly concerned with such devices adapted to be mounted on an outdoor or indoor cooking means. The device provide a multiple kabob skewer holder that is particularly well suited for ease and economy of manufacture.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A hub for holding a plurality of skewers on a grilling surface, said hub comprising:
a top end having a plurality of receiving structures, wherein said plurality of receiving structures are formed about the circumference of said hub; and a bottom end optionally having a means for mounting said hub on said grilling surface.
2 . The hub of claim 1 , wherein said hub is substantially cylindrical.
3 . The hub of claim 1 , wherein said plurality of receiving structures are adapted to fit a plurality of skewers.
4 . The hub of claim 1 , wherein each of said plurality of receiving structures is a notch formed about the circumference of said top end.
5 . The hub of claim 4 , wherein said plurality of notches are spaced apart along the top end of the hub.
6 . The hub of claim 1 , wherein each of said plurality of receiving structures is a hole formed about the circumference of said top end.
7 . The hub of claim 1 , further comprising a plurality of skewers wherein each of said plurality of skewers has a tip at one end and a handle at its opposite end, wherein said tip portion is adapted to fit within said receiving structure.
8 . The hub of claim 7 , wherein each of said skewer tips is adapted to fit within said receiving structure to direct each of said skewers radially outward.
9 . The hub of claim 7 , wherein each of said plurality of receiving structures is a notch to direct each of said skewers radially outward.
10 . The hub of claim 7 , wherein each of said plurality of receiving structures is a hole to direct each of said skewers radially outward.
11 . The hub of claim 7 , wherein said skewers are engaged in said hub to prevent rotation.
12 . The hub of claim 1 , further comprising a means to attach said bottom end to said grilling surface is a member selected from the group consisting of a notch, a clamp, a screw, a thread, and a magnet.
13 . The hub of claim 12 , wherein said means to attach said bottom end to a grilling surface is a notch.
14 . A hub for holding a plurality of skewers on a grilling surface, said hub comprising:
a top end having a plurality of notch receiving structures, wherein said plurality of notch receiving structures are formed about the circumference of said hub; a bottom end optionally having a means for mounting said hub on said grilling surface; and a plurality of skewers wherein each of said plurality of skewers has a tip at one end and a handle at its opposite end, wherein said tip portion is adapted to fit within said notch receiving structure.
15 . The hub of claim 14 , wherein each of said plurality of skewers has a tip, said tip is adapted to fit within said notch receiving structure to direct each of said skewers radially outward.
16 . A skewered food cooking kit, said kit comprising:
a hub having a top end having a plurality of receiving structures, wherein said plurality of receiving structures are formed about the circumference of said hub; a plurality of skewers wherein each of said plurality of skewers has a tip at one end and a handle at its opposite end, wherein said tip portion is adapted to fit within said receiving structures; and a spacer means to support a grille cover.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
