Abstract

A golf club head includes a face member with a face plate and an annular wall at a back side of the face plate and a housing member with a neck. The wall of the face member has a portion forming a connection portion and the housing member has a slot under the neck to be engaged with the connection portion, such that the connection portion of the face member lies under the neck of the housing member when the face member is connected to the housing member.

1 . A golf club head, comprising a face member with a connection portion and a housing member with a neck and a slot to be engaged with the connection portion, wherein the connection portion of the face member and the neck of the housing member are overlapping. 
   
   
       2 . The golf club head as defined in  claim 1 , wherein the face member includes an annular wall, on a portion of which associated with the neck of the housing member the connection portion is formed. 
   
   
       3 . The golf club head as defined in  claim 1 , wherein the connection portion of the face member lies under the neck of the housing member.
