Blank For A Container And A Container Made From Said Blank
Abstract
A container comprises a container wall ( 3 ) and a lower bottom member which is surrounded by the container wall and connected to said wall in fluid tight fashion. A discharge opening, which is optionally closeable by cover member, is surrounded by the container wall at a location opposite to the bottom member. A corresponding blank ( 1 ) for such a container, especially the container wall, comprises an upper ( 4 ) and lower ( 5 ) peripheral edge and first and second connection edges ( 6, 7 ) laterally connecting said peripheral edges, each of said connection edges extending along overlap regions ( 8, 9 ) which are interconnectable for shaping the container. To improve such a blank or such a container in that its manufacture is simplified and less expensive, and that an inspection opening is made more stable and has a greater load bearing capacity at the same time, at least one peripheral opening ( 10 ) is formed in at least each of the overlap regions which overlap one another at least in part upon connection of the overlap regions formed that inspection opening. A container wall of the container is made of such a blank.

10 . The blank according to claim 1 or 2 , characterized in that the inspection opening ( 13 , 14 , 15 ) which is composed of the peripheral openings ( 10 , 11 , 12 ) is substantially circular or oval in cross-section.
11 . The blank according to claim 1 or 2 , characterized in that the inspection opening ( 13 , 14 , 15 ) which is composed of the peripheral openings ( 10 , 11 , 12 ) is substantially slotted in cross-section.
12 . A container ( 2 ) comprising a container wall ( 3 ) and a lower bottom member ( 24 ) which is surrounded by the container wall and connected to said wall in fluid-tight fashion, a discharge opening ( 25 ), which is optionally closable by a cover member, being surrounded by the container wall at a location opposite to the bottom member ( 24 ), characterized in that the container wall ( 3 ) is made from a blank ( 1 ) according to any one of the preceding claims.
13 . The container according to claim 12 , characterized in that the lower peripheral edge of the container wall ( 3 ) is bent towards the container interior ( 29 ) and a receiving channel ( 26 ) is formed for a peripheral flange ( 32 ) of the bottom member ( 24 ).
14 . The container according to claim 12 or 13 , characterized in that the upper peripheral edge ( 4 ) of the container wall ( 3 ) is flanged and/or flat-pressed for forming a mouth roll ( 27 ), or the like.
15 . The container according to claim 12 or 13 , characterized in that the inspection opening ( 13 , 14 , 15 ) is sealed in fluid-tight fashion by a particularly transparent film ( 28 ) or coating.
16 . The container according to claim 12 or 13 , characterized in that the film ( 28 ) or coating extends along the overlap region ( 8 , 9 ).
17 . The container according to claim 12 or 13 , characterized in that the film ( 28 ) or coating is covered by at least one connection edge ( 6 ) arranged in the container interior ( 29 ).
18 . The container according to claim 12 or 13 , characterized in that the film ( 28 ) or coating extends from the container interior ( 29 ) around the connection edge ( 6 ) arranged in the container interior up to at least the connection edge ( 7 ) located on the outside.
