Abstract
A method of assigning a global reputation to a user at a website. The global reputation of the user is used for the user at many other websites.
Claims

assigning a global reputation to at least one user at a website; wherein the global reputation of the at least one user is used for the at least one user at a plurality of other websites.
2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
assigning a global username to the at least one user, wherein the global username of the at least one user is used for the at least one user as a same local username at a plurality of other websites.
3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the global username is associated with a unique registration number.
4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the registration number is based on a computer device signature used by the at least one user.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein negative feedback remains part of the global reputation for a predetermined amount of time.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein different reputations from different websites are included in the global reputation.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the global reputation is associated with a unique registration number.
8 . A method comprising:
associating a plurality of local reputations from a plurality of websites with a global reputation of at least one user; wherein the global reputation of the at least one user is used for the at least one user at the plurality of other websites.
9 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:
assigning a global username to the at least one user, wherein the global username of the at least one user is used for the at least one user as a same local username at a plurality of other websites.
10 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the global username is associated with a unique registration number.
11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the registration number is based on a computer device signature used by the at least one user.
12 . The method of claim 8 , wherein negative feedback remains part of the global reputation for a predetermined amount of time.
13 . The method of claim 8 , wherein different reputations from different websites are included in the global reputation.
14 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the global reputation is associated with a unique registration number.
15 . A machine-accessible medium containing instructions that, when executed, cause a machine to:
assign a global reputation to at least one user at a website; wherein the global reputation of the at least one user is used for the at least one user at a plurality of other websites.
16 . The machine-accessible medium of claim 15 , further comprising instructions that, when executed cause the machine to:
assign a global username to the at least one user, wherein the global username of the at least one user is used for the at least one user as a same local username at a plurality of other websites.
17 . The machine-accessible medium of claim 15 , wherein negative feedback remains part of the global reputation for a predetermined amount of time.
18 . The machine-accessible medium of claim 15 , wherein different reputations from different websites are included in the global reputation.
