Concrete form system with skin panel
Abstract
A system for holding poured concrete in a desired shape until it sets is disclosed. The system can include a plurality of forms having two opposing end sections. Each of the end sections has an end bracket attached to it. A plurality of footing stakes are used to connect the end brackets together such that the forms maintain the desired shape. At least one whaler bracket may be secured to a top of the forms to maintain the spacing between them. A skin panel can be used to bridge gaps between forms. Bulkhead brackets can be attached to the ends or centers of the forms and secured to allow end walls to be created where desired. Vertical footing panels can also be used to pour concrete onto adjoining inclined surfaces.

a first portion; a second portion substantially parallel to the first portion; an intermediate portion disposed substantially perpendicular and attached to the first and second portions; and wherein the first, second and intermediate portions are configured for a friction fit over one or more concrete form panels.
2 . The skin panel according to claim 1 , wherein the intermediate portion further comprises a plurality of holes configured for receiving stakes.
3 . The skin panel according to claim 1 , wherein the second portion further comprises at least one aperture for receiving a nail or screw therethrough.
4 . The skin panel according to claim 1 , wherein the intermediate portion is configured to rest upon a top edge of at least one concrete form panel.
5 . The skin panel according to claim 1 , wherein the first portion is configured to rest against an inside surface of at least one concrete form panel.
6 . The skin panel according to claim 1 , wherein the second portion is configured to rest against an outside surface of at least one concrete form panel.
7 . The skin panel according to claim 1 , wherein the skin panel is configured to cover a gap between two adjacent, spaced apart concrete form panels lying in a common plane while disposed along an inside surface of the two concrete form panels.
8 . A concrete form system, comprising:
a plurality of concrete form panels, each concrete form panel configured with end brackets on opposite ends of the concrete form panel and configured for attachment to an adjacent concrete form panel using a stake passing through holes in complementary end brackets in the adjacent concrete form panels; and a skin panel configured to cover a gap between and adjoin two adjacent, spaced apart concrete form panels lying in a common plane.
9 . The concrete form system according to claim 8 , wherein the skin panel further comprises:
a first portion; a second portion substantially parallel to the first portion; an intermediate portion disposed substantially perpendicular and attached to the first and second portions; and wherein the first, second and intermediate portions are configured for a friction fit over one or more concrete form panels.
10 . The concrete form system according to claim 9 , wherein the intermediate portion further comprises a plurality of holes configured for receiving stakes.
11 . The concrete form system according to claim 9 , wherein the second portion further comprises at least one aperture for receiving a nail or screw therethrough.
12 . The concrete form system according to claim 9 , wherein the intermediate portion is configured to rest upon a top edge of at least one concrete form panel.
13 . The concrete form system according to claim 9 , wherein the first portion is configured to rest against an inside surface of at least one concrete form panel.
14 . The concrete form system according to claim 9 , wherein the second portion is configured to rest against an outside surface of at least one concrete form panel.
15 . A concrete form system, comprising:
a plurality of concrete form panels, each panel comprising complementary end brackets at opposite ends of the panel, wherein each of the complementary end brackets comprises a hole for receiving a stake, wherein adjacent panels may be adjoined by insertion of a stake through the holes in the complementary end brackets; a bulkhead form configured for connection to parallel, spaced apart concrete form panels; and a skin panel configured to cover a gap between and connect two adjacent, spaced apart, concrete form panels lying in a common plane.
16 . The concrete form system according to claim 15 , wherein the skin panel further comprises:
a first portion; a second portion substantially parallel to the first portion; an intermediate portion disposed substantially perpendicular and attached to the first and second portions; and wherein the first, second and intermediate portions are configured for an interference fit over one or more concrete form panels.
17 . The concrete form system according to claim 15 , wherein the intermediate portion further comprises a plurality of holes configured for receiving stakes.
18 . The concrete form system according to claim 17 , wherein the skin panel is configured to be attached to the two adjacent, spaced apart, concrete form panels lying in a common plane by insertion of stakes through holes in the intermediate portion and the holes in the end brackets.
19 . The concrete form system according to claim 15 , wherein the second portion further comprises at least one aperture for receiving a nail or screw therethrough.
20 . The concrete form system according to claim 15 , wherein the intermediate portion is configured to rest upon a top edge of at least one concrete form panel.
21 . The concrete form system according to claim 15 , wherein the first portion is configured to rest against an inside surface of at least one concrete form panel.
