Sleeve holding apparatus

Abstract

A sleeve holding apparatus includes a main portion having a first end and a second end opposite to the first end, first and second VELCRO or magnetic coupling portions disposed at the first and second ends of the main portion, respectively, and at least one weather and water-resistant pocket disposed on the main portion between the first and second ends.

1 . A sleeve holding apparatus, comprising:
 a main portion having a first end and a second end opposite to the first end;   first and second VELCRO or magnetic coupling portions disposed at the first and second ends of the main portion, respectively; and at least one pocket disposed on the main portion between the first and second ends.   
   
   
       2 . The sleeve holding apparatus according to  claim 1 , further comprising:
 a portable media player disposed in the at least one pocket.   
   
   
       3 . The sleeve holding apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the at least one pocket is shaped to hold, carry, secure and protect therein a portable media player by way of weather and water-resistant material. 
   
   
       4 . The sleeve holding apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the main portion comprises:
 an inner portion made of a fleece material; and   an outer portion disposed opposite to the inner portion made of a stretchable polyester or natural fiber blended material and on which the at least one pocket is disposed.   
   
   
       5 . The sleeve holding apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the at least one pocket comprises:
 a closed end formed by a stitching on the main portion;   an open end formed opposite to the closed end; and   a closing flap or strip to open and close the open end of the at least one pocket.   
   
   
       6 . The sleeve holding apparatus according to  claim 5 , wherein the at least one pocket further comprises:
 a first VELCRO fastening portion disposed on the at least one pocket adjacent to the open end; and   a second VELCRO fastening portion disposed on the closing flap or strip to engage the first VELCRO fastening portion to close the open end of the at least one pocket.   
   
   
       7 . The sleeve holding apparatus according to  claim 1 , further comprising:
 at least one pull tab extending from the first end of the main portion of the sleeve to couple and decouple the first and second VELCRO or magnetic coupling portions from each other.   
   
   
       8 . The sleeve holding apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the first and second VELCRO or magnetic coupling portions extend along an entire length of the main portion of the sleeve. 
   
   
       9 . The sleeve holding apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the at least one pocket comprises:
 a closed end formed by a pocket stitching;   an open end formed opposite to the closed end; and   a hole disposed on the interior of the closed end to provide access to an item disposed in the at least one pocket without compromising the integrity of the weather and water-resistant qualities.   
   
   
       10 . The sleeve holding apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the at least one pocket comprises one of a weather and water-resistant stretchable polyester or natural fiber blended material and a waterproof plastic material. 
   
   
       11 . The sleeve holding apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the main portion comprises:
 an outer stitching portion disposed around a perimeter of the main portion to join an inner portion of a first material with an outer portion of a second material that is different from the first material; and   a pocket stitching portion to join the at least one pocket to the outer portion.   
   
   
       12 . The sleeve holding apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the at least one pocket comprises:
 a first pocket shaped to secure therein a portable media player; and   a second pocket shaped to secure therein credit cards, identification cards, money, keys, a cell phone or other items of similar size and nature.   
   
   
       13 . A sleeve, comprising:
 a main portion elongated along a first direction and having at least one weather and water-resistant pocket disposed along a second direction different from the first direction on an outer side thereof;   a first VELCRO or magnetic portion disposed at a first end on the outer side of the main portion extending along the second direction; and   a second VELCRO or magnetic portion disposed at a second end opposite to the first end and on an inner side of the main portion extending along the second direction.   
   
   
       14 . The sleeve according to  claim 13 , wherein the first and second VELCRO or magnetic portions are coupled to each other such that the second end of the main portion overlaps the first end of the main portion. 
   
   
       15 . The sleeve according to  claim 13 , wherein the main portion is between about 10 inches and 14 inches long and about 4.5 inches wide. 
   
   
       16 . The sleeve according to  claim 13 , wherein the first and second VELCRO or magnetic portions are about 2 inches wide in the first direction and about 4 inches long in the second direction. 
   
   
       17 . A sleeve holding apparatus, comprising:
 a main portion having a first end and a second end opposite to the first end to overlap with each other around a limb of a user;   first and second VELCRO or magnetic coupling portions disposed at the first and second ends of the main portion, respectively; and   a plurality of weather and water-resistant pockets disposed on the main portion between the first and second ends and having a plurality of different items disposed therein.   
   
   
       18 . A sleeve holding apparatus, comprising:
 a circular arm band made of a stretchable material; and   at least one weather and water-resistant pocket disposed on an outer portion of the arm band.   
   
   
       19 . The sleeve holding apparatus according to  claim 16 , wherein the at least one pocket extends in a direction that is parallel to a center axis of the circular arm band.
