Container Lid
Abstract
A container lid comprising an end closing portion ( 31 ) having a peripheral region ( 31 a ) that incorporates a sealing portion ( 32 ) to be fitted and retained in a seat (S) provided in a container ( 10 ); a handle ( 33 ) having a marginal edge portion ( 33 a ) incorporated to the peripheral region ( 31 a ) and a higher median portion ( 33 b ), the marginal edge portion ( 33 a ) and an adjacent part of the median portion ( 33 b ) of the handle ( 33 ) being cut to define a radial opening ( 35 ) to allow inserting at least one finger of the user, as well as resting his/her palm and/or wrist on a region of the sealing portion ( 32 ), so that the user's hand forms a lever to help him/her to gradually open the lid ( 30 ) from the peripheral region ( 31 a ) adjacent to the radial opening ( 35 ).
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A container lid of the type comprising, in a single piece, an end closing portion ( 31 ) having a peripheral region ( 31 a ) that incorporates a sealing portion ( 32 ) to be removably press fitted and retained in a seat (S) provided in a container ( 10 ), characterized in that it further comprises a handle ( 33 ) having at least one marginal edge portion ( 33 a ) that is seated and incorporated to a respective extension of the peripheral region ( 31 a ) of the end closing portion ( 31 ), and a median portion ( 33 b ) that is raised in relation to the end closing portion ( 31 ), the marginal edge portion ( 33 a ) and an adjacent part of the median portion ( 33 b ) of the handle ( 33 ) being cut by at least one radial cutout ( 34 ), defining a radial opening ( 35 ) with sufficient dimensions to allow radially inserting, from the outside to the inside of the lid ( 30 ), the end phalange of at least one finger of the user, as well as resting at least one of his/her palm and wrist on a region of the sealing portion ( 32 ) diametrically opposite to the radial opening ( 35 ), so that the user's hand forms a lever to help him/her to gradually open the lid ( 30 ) from the peripheral region ( 31 a ) adjacent to the radial opening ( 35 ).
2 . The lid as set forth in claim 1 and which is superiorly contained in a plane (P) orthogonal to the axis thereof, characterized in that the handle ( 33 ) is disposed inferiorly to said plane (P).
3 . The lid as set forth in claim 2 , characterized in that the sealing portion ( 32 ) is superiorly contained in the plane (P), while the end closing portion ( 31 ) is lowered in relation to the sealing portion ( 32 ).
4 . The lid as set forth in claim 1 , characterized in that the handle ( 33 ) is defined by a wall portion having an upwardly bent profile, from the marginal portion ( 33 a ).
5 . The lid as set forth in claim 4 , characterized in that the handle ( 33 ) is defined by a frusto-conical wall portion provided with at least one radial opening ( 35 ).
6 . The lid as set forth in claim 1 , characterized in that the sealing portion ( 32 ) is defined by a circumferential cradle ( 32 a ) and incorporates an external peripheral flange ( 32 b ).Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
