Garment Decoration

Abstract

The present garment includes a header having a plurality of spaced elements depending there from without obscuring the substrate. A fastener secures the header to the substrate so that ends of the elements move relative to the garment as the garment moves. The header may be mounted adjacent a hole in the garment and may over lay the hole. A kit for decorating a garment includes a header having a plurality of spaced elements depending there from so that the elements move relative to the garment when attached to a garment as the garment moves; and a fastener for removable securing the header to the garment so that the elements extend vertically without obscuring the garment.

1 . A garment comprising:
 a substrate;   a header having a plurality of spaced first elements depending there from without obscuring the substrate; and   a fastener securing the header to the substrate so that the first elements move relative to the garment as the garment moves.   
   
   
       2 . The garment according to  claim 1 , wherein the substrate includes a hole and the header is secured to the substrate adjacent the hole. 
   
   
       3 . The garment according to  claim 2 , wherein the first elements lay over the hole without obscuring the hole in the substrate. 
   
   
       4 . The garment according to  claim 2 , wherein the hole exposes a portion of the body of the wearer of the garment. 
   
   
       5 . The garment according to  claim 2 , wherein the hole is for a pocket of the garment. 
   
   
       6 . The garment according to  claim 2 , wherein the garment has a second hole in the substrate adjacent the first hole; and the vertical elements lay over the holes without obscuring the holes 
   
   
       7 . The garment according to  claim 1 , wherein the fastener is one of sewing stitches, snap, Velcro, zipper, adhesive, hook/eye and button/button hole. 
   
   
       8 . The garment according to  claim 1 , wherein the first elements extend horizontally from the header with an end not attached to the head being free to move. 
   
   
       9 . The garment according to  claim 1 , including a second header, the first elements are connected at their ends between the headers, and a fastener securing the second header to the substrate so that the first elements are not taut and can move relative to the garment as the garment moves 
   
   
       10 . The garment according to  claim 1 , including a plurality of second elements crossing the first elements to form a mesh. 
   
   
       11 . The garment according to  claim 1 , wherein the garment is one of pants, shirt, jacket, and blouse. 
   
   
       12 . A kit for decorating a garment, the kit comprising:
 a header having a plurality of spaced first elements depending there from so that the first elements move relative to the garment when attached to a garment as the garment moves; and   a fastener for removably securing the header to the garment so that the first elements extend without obscuring the garment.   
   
   
       13 . The kit according to  claim 12 , wherein the fastener is one of snap, Velcro, zipper, adhesive, hook/eye and button/button hole. 
   
   
       14 . The kit according to  claim 12 , including a plurality of second elements crossing the first elements to form a mesh. 
   
   
       15 . The kit according to  claim 12 , including a plurality of headers having different first elements. 
   
   
       16 . The kit according to  claim 12 , wherein the first elements extend horizontally from the header with an end not attached to the head being free to move. 
   
   
       17 . The kit according to  claim 12 , including a second header, the first elements are connected at their ends between the headers, and a fastener securing the second header to the substrate so that the first elements are not taut and can move relative to the garment as the garment moves 
   
   
       18 . A method of decorating a garment comprising:
 creating a hole in the garment which exposes a portion of the body of the wearer; and   attaching a header having a plurality of spaced vertical element depending there from to the garment adjacent the hole so that the vertical elements lay over the hole without obscuring the hole in the garment.   
   
   
       19 . The method according to  claim 18 , wherein the vertical elements depend from the header so as that ends of the elements move horizontally as the garment moves. 
   
   
       20 . The method according to  claim 18 , wherein the header is attached by one of sewing, snap, Velcro, zipper, adhesive, hook/eye and button/buttonhole. 
   
   
       21 . The method according to  claim 18 , including a plurality of transverse elements crossing the vertical elements to form a mesh.
