Abstract

A gaming machine includes: a cabinet; a display portion that is provided on the cabinet and displays information related to a game; an operation unit that is provided on the cabinet and allows a player to input operations for playing the game; and a plurality of light emitting units that are disposed in the cabinet, each of the light emitting units being arranged to emit light in a way that a quantity of light to be emitted toward the player is smaller than a quantity of light to be emitted toward other directions.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A gaming machine comprising:
a cabinet; a display portion that is provided on the cabinet and displays information related to a game; an operation unit that is provided on the cabinet and allows a player to input operations for playing the game; and a plurality of light emitting units that are disposed in the cabinet, each of the light emitting units being arranged to emit light in a way that a quantity of light to be emitted toward the player is smaller than a quantity of light to be emitted toward other directions.

2 . The gaming machine according to claim 1 , wherein at least one of the light emitting units includes:
a recessed portion that is recessed rearward from a front face of the cabinet; and a light source that is disposed inside the recessed portion.

3 . The gaming machine according to claim 2 , wherein the light source is disposed at a position where a line connecting the light source and an edge of the recessed portion intersects with a line perpendicular to the front face of the cabinet at an acute angle.

4 . The gaming machine according to claim 2 further comprising a plurality of display devices that are provided within the display portion.

5 . The gaming machine according to claim 4 , wherein the light source is disposed at a position where a line connecting the light source and an edge of the recessed portion intersects with a line perpendicular to a screen of the display devices at an acute angle.

6 . The gaming machine according to claim 5 , wherein the acute angle is equal to or larger than 45 degrees.

7 . The gaming machine according to claim 4 further comprising a controller that operates to:
control the display devices to variably display a plurality of symbols for a predetermined time period when a start command is input through the operation unit to start the game; and pay out an award to the player in accordance with a combination of the symbols displayed stopped.

8 . The gaming machine according to claim 2 further comprising a reflecting portion that reflects light emit from the light source.

9 . The gaming machine according to claim 8 , wherein the reflecting portion includes:
a first reflecting portion having a reflecting face inclined at a first inclined angle with respect to a horizontal plane; and a second reflecting portion having a reflecting face inclined at a second inclined angle, which is smaller than the first inclined angle, with respect to the horizontal plane, the second reflecting portion being positioned away from the light source than the first reflecting portion.

       10 . A gaming machine comprising:
a cabinet; a display portion that is provided on the cabinet and displays information related to a game; a plurality of display devices that are provided within the display portion; an operation unit that is provided on the cabinet and allows a player to input operations for playing the game; and a plurality of light emitting units that are disposed in the cabinet, each of the light emitting units being arranged to emit light in a way that a quantity of light to be emitted toward the player is smaller than a quantity of light to be emitted toward other directions, wherein at least one of the light emitting units includes:
a recessed portion that is recessed rearward from a front face of the cabinet; and
a light source that is disposed inside the recessed portion, and
wherein the light source is disposed at a position where a line connecting the light source and an edge of the recessed portion intersects with a line perpendicular to a screen of the display devices at an acute angle.

11 . The gaming machine according to claim 10 , wherein the acute angle is equal to or larger than 45 degrees.

12 . The gaming machine according to claim 10 further comprising a controller that operates to:
control the display devices to variably display a plurality of symbols for a predetermined time period when a start command is input through the operation unit to start the game; and pay out an award to the player in accordance with a combination of the symbols displayed stopped.

13 . The gaming machine according to claim 10 further comprising a reflecting portion that reflects light emit from the light source.

14 . The gaming machine according to claim 13 , wherein the reflecting portion includes:
a first reflecting portion having a reflecting face inclined at a first inclined angle with respect to a horizontal plane; and a second reflecting portion having a reflecting face inclined at a second inclined angle, which is smaller than the first inclined angle, with respect to the horizontal plane, the second reflecting portion being positioned away from the light source than the first reflecting portion.

       15 . A gaming machine comprising:
a cabinet; a display portion that is provided on the cabinet and displays information related to a game; a plurality of display devices that are provided within the display portion; an operation unit that is provided on the cabinet and allows a player to input operations for playing the game; a controller that operates to:
control the display devices to variably display a plurality of symbols for a predetermined time period when a start command is input through the operation unit to start the game; and
pay out an award to the player in accordance with a combination of the symbols displayed stopped; and
a plurality of light emitting units that are disposed in the cabinet, each of the light emitting units being arranged to emit light in a way that a quantity of light to be emitted toward the player is smaller than a quantity of light to be emitted toward other directions, wherein at least one of the light emitting units includes:
a recessed portion that is recessed rearward from a front face of the cabinet; and
a light source that is disposed inside the recessed portion, and
wherein the light source is disposed at a position where a line connecting the light source and an edge of the recessed portion intersects with a line perpendicular to a screen of the display devices at an acute angle.

16 . The gaming machine according to claim 15 , wherein the acute angle is equal to or larger than 45 degrees.

17 . The gaming machine according to claim 15 further comprising a reflecting portion that reflects light emit from the light source.

18 . The gaming machine according to claim 17 , wherein the reflecting portion includes:
a first reflecting portion having a reflecting face inclined at a first inclined angle with respect to a horizontal plane; and a second reflecting portion having a reflecting face inclined at a second inclined angle, which is smaller than the first inclined angle, with respect to the horizontal plane, the second reflecting portion being positioned away from the light source than the first reflecting portion.
